Once again, the liberal left has taken dead aim at Christian conservatives to banish them from the political process or if they remain defiant and unyielding, then to humiliate them and make them politically impotent.
In this case, the power of America Online has been enlisted in the most disgusting, sickening and twisted attack I have ever read online about those who are Catholic. This is an affront to all people of faith launched by their Larry Doyle in his column, '"The Jesus-Eating Cult of Rick Santorum."
Doyle's Defamation: HATE SPEECH
Doyle's defamation - which is recognized both as one of the 10 Commandment "Thou Shalt Not's," in libel law in America and at the America Online "Terms of Service" - is not "free speech." It is hate speech. But it won't be called that because to liberals "freedom of speech" means you can engage in hate speech against Christians any time you want and they will applaud. But this writing today is about speaking truth to power, it is the meek versus the powerful who sit confident on their hilltops that the little Hobbits would never, ever think they could "storm the gates of Mordor."
This Doyle hate speech column is a clear attempt to play "divide and conquer" to separate Catholics and evangelical protestants and people of faith - the "values voters" in America.
This attack is so vicious that I have heard one Christian friend call it "Satanic" and another wrote that they are "thoroughly disgusted." I believe this writing is designed to make Christians divided, dispirited or both.
Banishing Catholics from the "Public Square"
In fact, for that dedicated conservative Catholic and Christian activist, and for other Christians who may feel dispirited and overwhelmed by such recent, intense, disgusting and vicious attacks on people of faith perpetrated with the design of banishing us from "the public square" outright or silencing us, I remind you of the words of our Savior from the Beatitudes - the often overlooked counter part to the "Thou Shalt Nots" of the Ten Commandments:
"Blessed are the poor in Spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."
Liberal-Left Secular Alliance vs Catholics
By which He means you, who are afflicted, insulted, maligned, humble, meek, gentle in the face of such insult and verbal assault but who remain persistent, confident, tenacious, unyielding even as you have the humility to acknowledge your need for Divine help and even as you acknowledge that powerful forces - in this instance Huffington Post, America Online and the liberal-left secular alliance in America - are arrayed against you.
Jesus Christ understood you, the "poor in spirit" and especially blessed and encouraged you in this one very meaningful and powerful sentence. You will prevail. The kingdom of heaven, is yours. Persist. Stay the course.
Blessed are you, who Larry Doyle has defamed in this most disgusting hate speech, and my prayer in today's writing is for you he attacks. My design is to strengthen you, encourage you, bless you, and to rally support for you among other Christians, people of faith and all who recognize that when they came for you, we must not be silent, we must not acquiesce in evil without protest.
Article labeled "Hate Speech" by Beckel
The column Doyle wrote was so disgusting that it was labeled yesterday as "hate speech" by the very liberal Democrat Bob Beckel on Fox TV's THE FIVE show. "Anybody who runs this guy's byline in the future, I say a pox on your house" said liberal Beckel, a Protestant and the former campaign manager for Democrat candidate for President, Democrat Walter Mondale (who was defeated by Ronald Reagan in 1984).
While I am not anxious to help promote this Doyle's column, I offer you the following RESOLUTON, which I urge you to adopt with me, circulate, and endorse, and perhaps more - write to AOL at [email protected] with a copy of it or a link to this column. Here now, my offering:
Resolution Protesting Hate Speech at AOL
Whereas, hate speech is forbidden by the "terms of service" (TOS) of America Online and,
Whereas, AOL owns Huffington Post, and
Whereas, a column signed by Larry Doyle has appeared at Huffington Post and titled "The Jesus-Eating Cult of Rick Santorum," has been labeled by liberal commentator Bob Beckel as "hate speech" on the Fox TV show "The Five," and
Whereas, liberal, protestant Beckel said "Anybody who runs this guy's byline in the future, I say a pox on your house," (Merriam-Webster: "a virus disease", "a disastrous evil") and,
Whereas, AOL's TOS warns its members "do not use hate speech. Hate speech is unacceptable, and AOL reserves the right to take appropriate action against any account using the service to post, transmit, promote, distribute or facilitate the distribution of content intended to ... intimidate an individual or group on the basis of age, disability, ethnicity, gender, race, religion or sexual orientation," and
Whereas, AOL TOS warns that its service may not be used to "post content that ... is abusive, harassing, defamatory, libelous... or tortuous," and
Whereas, AOL TOS is violated with the Doyle/Huffington Post statement "the bloody jihads his so-called church has carried on for centuries" referring to the Roman Catholic Church, and
Whereas, AOL TOS is violated with the Doyle/Huffington Post claim that The Catholic Church is "the tactical arm of the North American Man-Boy Love Association," and
Whereas, AOL TOS is violated with the Doyle/Huffington Post claim that "Roman Catholics participate in a barbaric ritual dating back two millennia, a 'mass' in which black-robed cleric casts a spell over some bread and wine, transfiguring it into the actual living flesh and blood of their Christ. Followers then line up to eat the Jesus meat and drink his holy blood in a cannibalistic reverie not often seen outside Cinemax" and,
Whereas, AOL TOS is violated with the Doyle/Huffington Post claim that " Roman Catholics... take their orders from "the Pope," a high priest who, they believe, chats with God." and
Whereas, AOL TOS is violated with the Doyle/Huffington Post claim that "child killers and terrorists (may) go unexecuted on the Pope's say so" and,
Whereas, AOL TOS is violated with the Doyle/Huffington Post claim that Catholicism is a "religion organization" which has conducted "various reigns of terror, in which good protestants and others were tortured and killed in imaginatively grisly ways," and,
Whereas, AOL TOS is violated with the Doyle/Huffington Post claim that Catholicism is "a phony theology that threatens to supplant Christianity as our official national religion," and
Whereas, the statements of Doyle and the Huffington Post conveyed through America Online, are considered by the undersigned as disgusting, abusive, hateful, sickening and have no place in public discourse, now
Therefore, the undersigned does request that AOL should enforce its own "Terms of Service" at once by removing the hate speech from its website and banishing any future message posts by Larry Doyle, or in the event that this cannot be done, then it should remove the Huffington Post from any association with America Online (you may email to: [email protected]) and,
Further, the undersigned does agree, perhaps for the one and only time, with commentator Bob Beckel, that in any place where the byline "Larry Doyle" appears, we pray with him "for a pox on that house."
Finally, we offer in prayer to those who this Doyle-Huffington Post, libelous and smearing hate speech is designed - we believe purposely - to discourage from involvement in the political process in America because of their faith, our Savior's special blessing, which we believe was said to encourage those who stand for truth against power, "blessed be the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven."
