The title says it all.
He's a US Senator. He spoke glowingly of her in one of his books. She was at one of his "taking office" ceremonies. But he didn't lift a finger to help her despite being in an ideal place to do so, and now she's on a deportation order. He's a member of the same government that wants to kick her out. See the problem here?
And he said, "I'm a strong believer you have to obey the law." He helps make the law, and a Senators endorsement goes a long way towards legal alien and citizenship status. I wouldn't even have a problem with it, she's family.
"I am my brother's keeper, I am my sister's keeper."
Apparently that doesn't extend to his father's sister.
How exactly is he going to help me if he can't help his own family?
