A Major War in Middle East is Coming

President Obama has so mis-managed U.S. Foreign policy that a major conflict in the Middle East is all but inevitable.  His actions toward Iran have been nothing but verbal bluster and posturing for the U.S. MSM.  In reality, his concrete actions toward Iran amount to nothing more than an obsequious bow.  From a silent voice to Iran becoming a member of the UN’s Women’s Rights panel, to it’s assent to a vote pressuring Israel to eventually give up their nukes, to a letter indicating that they would not block a vote castigating Israel when they start construction on apartments in East Jerusalem, the actions of this President have been naive at best, but dangerously superficial and provocative at worst.

Israel will not roll over on this.  Bibi Netanyahu has a back-bone and is pragmatic enough to know that land-for-peace will not assuage those who want nothing less than the total destruction of Israel and every Jew residing there-in.  This includes Hamas, Hezbollah, Fatah (no, they are not moderate) Syria, and possibly Egypt and Jordan.

Given the escalation of the missile shipments to Israel’s enemies, I expect a conflict either this summer or next.  This time, I believe the results will be hugely different.  Israel is ready.  I also do not expect Israel to roll over and allow Iran to get nukes.  They understand the danger to their existence if that happens.  No amount of words from Obama will dissuade Israel.  Remember their founding words: “Never Again!”.

Now for the stretch.  If Israel were to launch a pre-emptive strike on Iran’s nuclear sites all hell would break loose.  I believe that Israel has a plan to deal with Hezbollah and Hamas.  If Iran launches a barage, I believe it’s possible that Israel will even use a tactical theatre nuclear strike to respond to Iran’s missiles.  And if Syria escalates with chemical weapons?  Maybe we see the fulfillment of Isaiah 17:1

Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city and it shall be a ruinous heap

Whatever the process of future events, the winds of war are growing stronger.  There will be no peace.  Actions were not taken soon enough to crush the forces of war while they were weak (much like the lead up to WWII).  War is almost inevitable and I believe a huge victory for Israel is in the offing which would be a huge embarrassment for the U.S. and President Obama.  My biggest concern is whether or not the U.S. would enter the fray…..and if they did, on whose side would they enter?  that’s a sad, but realistic question to have to ask.
