    This is Life and Death

The 2012 election is not merely  another election. This is life and death. The life of our country as we know it, the life of our freedoms, and for some, the medical care they need to survive.  Mounting debts, Obamcare, and the liberal agenda threaten the very existence of America. We are deciding our future in this election. This fact hit me early this year: this election | Read More »

    A Time to Pray

Amid all the joy this morning over Paul Ryan being picked for VP, I also know that he and his family are about to be put through the wringer. We all know that the liberal media will use anything-true or not- to tear down conservatives. I thought to write this short entry to encourage everyone to pray for Rep. Ryan and his family. I can’t | Read More »

The Problem with our Liberal Friends…a Conversation about Misinformation

President Reagan had it right when he said: “The trouble with our liberal friends is not that they are ignorant, but that they know so much that isn’t so.” A few days ago, I was having a conversation with a new friend. Somehow, we got on to the subject of politics. I believe it started with a discussion about Obama’s executive order pertaining to the | Read More »

    The Chick-Fil-A Revolution

After eating at three packed Chick-Fil-A restaurants today (Breakfast, Lunch, & Supper!!), I was inspired. Here’s what I did with the inspiration: Ode to Chick-Fil-A ‘Twas a bright and fine morning, when Truett Cathy declared: He’d stand up for traditional marriage, and that he dared. Well, the liberals raised their ugly heads, and began to say, “Down with Mr. Cathy, and his Chick-Fil-A!” But we conservatives | Read More »

Rick W. Allen: A Man of Character (GA-12th Congressional Race)

Georgia’s 12th district congressional race is heating up, as we are only 19 days out from election day. I have researched each candidate, and tried my best to decide who would best represent the 12th district . In the end my choice was clear. I’d like to share this with my fellow patriots in the 12th district here on Redstate. I decided to support Rick W. Allen. | Read More »

Tales from the campaign trail (Whatever happened to just saying no?)

Lately, I have been working with a local campaign to increase the candidate’s visibility to the public. So, yes, this includes lots of phone calls asking property owners if we could please put a sign up on their property, since in my state, it is illegal to place signs on the right of way. I get all kinds of answers, but eventually they all boil down to a | Read More »

A Call to Action for Perry Supporters

I have and will always feel that Gov. Perry is the best man to lead our nation at this time. Period. I know what I’m about to propose is a long shot. Some would say I’m beating a dead horse. Maybe I am, and maybe I’m not. But I’m willing to fight for what I believe in, and for who I believe in. In my opinion, | Read More »

The Resolve to Fight for Life

I have to admit that I was quite discouraged after Gov. Perry suspended his campaign. In fact, I felt terribly disheartened about the whole process. However,  I have been infused with some new resolve. Last week, on my way to an appointment, I had some time to kill, so I stopped by a second-hand book store. One of my favorite topics besides politics is medicine. When I noticed a book about the | Read More »

Is there a Doctor in the House?

I think I may be suffering from a syndrome called: “strangle the media”. My symptoms include: sudden urges to shoot my radio when a certain theme song comes on, ask another radio queen if she’s satisfied, and just  forget Faux News in general. I believe I contracted this disease after a certain governor’s campaign was continually berated, down-played, or simply left out. My symptoms have become much more intense since yesterday. Ok, all joking aside, | Read More »

    From one Perry supporter’s heart

Today is a sad day for all of us who have supported Gov.Perry. I honestly felt that Gov. Perry was the best man for to lead our country. I still feel that way.  So, what now? I hate to ask that question. I wish I could go on defiantly supporting Gov.Perry, but in my heart I know that is not what is best for our country. We | Read More »
