Elections Have Consequences So Don’t Bury Your Vote

On a near daily basis, we receive a number of callers into our daily radio program at the ACLJ , Jay Sekulow Live!, rightfully upset about the most recent appalling Executive overreach by the President or devastating vote in the Senate or House of Representatives.

The question always comes up: “Isn’t there something we can do to stop this outrage?”

Our Chief Counsel Jay Sekulow’s answer is always the same. “Elections have consequences.”

And we’re the ones to blame for those consequences.

There’s No Such Thing as a “Self-Radicalized” Islamic Terrorist

    “Self-radicalized.”

It’s a term you are bound to hear a lot of, along with “lone wolf” and “recent convert to Islam,” in the wake of two separate terrorist attacks in Canada and one in New York City last week.

Yet there is no such thing, and the label, more than mere semantics, trivializes and belies the reality we face.

Federal Court Puts Road Block in the Way of Justice for Conservatives Targeted by the IRS

The fight for justice is never the easy road, and it doesn’t always win the first round.

Yesterday a federal district court dismissed two lawsuits (at least a majority of the claims) brought on behalf of conservative groups who were targeted by the IRS.

Unfortunately, the court’s ruling is based on what we believe is a mistaken interpretation of the law that would allow corruption to continue unfettered at the highest levels of federal government and deny justice to those who had their constitutional rights violated.

Pakistan Sentences Christian Mom Asia Bibi to Death for “Blasphemy” over a Cup of Water

A committed Christian. A mother of five. A loving wife. A servant of all.

But will she also be a martyr?

That’s Asia Bibi. She’s been sentenced to death by hanging under Pakistan’s Shariah blasphemy law.

The Radical Left Celebrates the Success of Their Deception Over Abortion

It’s one of the most heartbreaking things I’ve ever read.

A woman about to abort her unborn child wrote a sadly naive letter to her child, which she refers to as her “Little Thing”. She is clearly deceived, fallen victim to the abortion distortion pushed by the radical left in the media and our society today. And the Culture of Death is reveling in her deception and pain.

Devastatingly, this woman truly believes that the life she is about to take is not a life at all, and that she will have another opportunity to have this same child sometime later. She honestly believes she’s doing the right thing.

ISIS in Our Midst – An Open Border is an Invitation to Terror

For years we’ve heard the threat that our porous border with Mexico could become a free pass for terrorists to enter America.

Now that threat appears to be a reality.

There are numerous reports that ISIS terrorists have crossed our southern border and are now in America.

Does President Obama’s Plan to “Degrade and Destroy” ISIS Include Releasing GITMO Detainees?

Even in the midst of an all out war with ISIS’s jihadist army in Iraq and Syria, President Obama is still insistent on closing GITMO, even if it means releasing more detainees.

There is no way around it; this is a fundamentally flawed and devastatingly dangerous strategy.

Shining the Light of Truth into Dark Places

I’ve noticed a disturbing trend among Christians today to shy away from confrontation, to hide behind our own personal religious views, keeping them private.

We don’t want to offend anyone. So many Christians tone down arguments so much we are nearly silent.

We’ll speak out in private church groups with our friends about the taking of innocent human life (i.e. abortion), our Judeo-Christian heritage as a nation, or the cultural ills that ensnare our society. But so many Christians today would never dream of publicly speaking out for fear of offend an abortionist, an angry atheist, or the totalitarian “tolerance” police.
