I just love reading the New York Times. It's both infuriating and hysterical.
In today's issue, Bill Keller is the latest liberal attempting to "dispel the myths" about Obamacare. My personal favorite is "Obamacare is a federal takeover of health insurance." Why, nothing could be further from the truth! Obamacare is just adding some new regulations. Besides, those insurance companies are all run by evil rich people and they make money off denying care to the sick. Of course, they can only stay in business for so long when they're forced to cover pre existing conditions. And once the private insurance companies are driven into bankruptcy, the federal government will have no choice but to take over the entire insurance market. But saying that Obamacare was designed to lead to socialized medicine, why that's just a myth! No, it's a lie! In fact, I think it was Politifacts "lie of the year!"
According to Keller, Obamacare is a takeover of private health insurance is true "only in the crazy world where Barack Obama is a socialist." Well, I guess it's crazy in the world where New York Times columnists live. It's pretty real out here. Not to mention scary.
