I guess I must have missed something here. but I am not sure that I can believe that there is anything good in the latest Job numbers coming from the U.S. Government. Whoop-deee-dooo, we see an alleged 192000 jobs created in February. I say, REALLY?
"Beginning January 1st, 2011 every single day more than 10,000 Baby Boomers will reach the age of 65. That is going to keep happening every single day for the next 19 years."
10,000 per day!
That is 320000 per month. OK, so February is short, it is still 280000 jobs cleared out!
That means we cleared out or relieved 192000 of 280000 positions. Leaving us with a deficit of 188000 positions NOT FILLED.We are happy about that!? Are those positions still open? Are they lost for good? Do these 280000 + 320000 = 600000 retirees for Jan and Feb represent people who have been on unemployment for the last 2 years?
What is the real story? I would like to see a real parsing of the data. How are they affecting the Unemployment/Underemployment numbers. Can we still believe this "Bogus" report any longer?
I think that aside from being a nice "statistic" to campaign on, the unemployment numbers have no real value any longer.
