White House a Hostile Environment for Women? Say it ain’t so, O!

”FITS THE CLASSIC LEGAL REQUIREMENTS OF A HOSTILE WORKPLACE FOR WOMEN”

Well do tell. Is this ironic, or what? Women being mistreated in the workplace. Women being mistreated in the Obama White House workplace, no less. If I weren’t such a believer in “what goes around, comes around,” I’d think that “poor” Barack Obama was born under a bad sign. Dude’s whole world seems to be crumbling around him; and it couldn’t happen to a more deserving fellow — given the damage the Regime has done to the economy, U.S. standing around the world, and future generations of Americans.

Pulitzer Prize winner Ron Suskind’s new book“Confidence Men: Wall Street, Washington, and the Education of a President” paints a picture of  pervasive infighting within the Obama Regime, and quotes former White House communications director Anita Dunn as saying, “This place would be in court for a hostile workplace. It actually fits all of the classic legal requirements of a genuinely hostile workplace to women.” (In an about-face of Obamanesqe proportions, Dunn later backtracked in an interview with the Washington Post.)

Someone who hasn’t backtracked is former head of the Council of Economic Advisers, Christina Romer: “I felt like a piece of meat.” Romer claimed that at one point, Obama failed to ask for her opinion after soliciting opinions from her male colleagues. Incensed, Romer passed a note to Summers threatening to walk out as a result of the snub. Pettiness among liberals — doesn’t get any better.

Suskind claims that while women held many senior positions in the White House, they constantly felt outmaneuvered by male colleagues, including former Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel and former economic adviser Larry Summers. (Have you noticed how everyoneI’ve mentioned in this article has “former” in front of their title?)

“The president has a real woman problem,” an unnamed high-ranking female official told Suskind. “The idea of the boys’ club being just Larry and Rahm isn’t really fair. He [Obama] was just as responsible himself.”

According to the book, Dunn told Suskind that the problem began during the 2008 campaign. She claims that she was viewing a new television campaign ad with other campaign officials and was shocked to see no women in the spot: “There isn’t a single woman in this ad,” Dunn said, “I was dumbfounded”  The ad was reshot, with women included.

How delightful. I can envision the expressions on the faces of millions of shocked female Obama groupies as they hear this story for the first time; although I’m sure most of them will be in total denial that Captain Equality would allow such a despicable environment to exist. Join the club ladies, those of us on the dark side have seen through you disingenuous leader from the beginning.

Say what you want about Bill Clinton, but at least he knew how to get the most out of women in the Oval Office.
