We have all heard that refrain from the Democrats. "Obamacare is not perfect but we had to do something." From now on I will respond with,"but did we have to do something to the American people instead of something for them?
My reason for writing this diary is to say that two can play this game.
Defund Obamacare. Some say it is not perfect. I disagree. But hey," We have to do something." I say defund Obamacare because it is a stand for principle. I mean could we do that for once? I'd much rather suffer the consequences of a government shutdown then the tyrrany that is Obamacare. Some libs would say that that remark is ridiculous. But I don't care and neither should the rest of us. Nor should we care what the media will say about us. Defunding Obamacare is the right thing to do and when you do the right thing, you should not worry about the consequences. That is what leadership is all about.
All the other strategies, especially the one where we let it implode seem alot riskier and feel like the same old stuff where we attempt to win by sitting on the sidelines.
I know alot of these diaries sound the same, but it is not for us. It is for them, Boehner, McConnell, and the others who remind me of the policemen in the "Pirates of Penzance". We as the grassroots need to pick them up and tell them to forge on. In other words tell them while defunding Obamacare may not seem like a perfect plan, it is what we want them to do and "we have to do something."
* Oh! And this just in! According to a Newsmax article Danny Werful, the acting IRS Chief says he would rather keep his current coverage. The title of the article, Acting IRS Chief: I don't want Obamacare. Geez that looks like a greenlight to me. The chief enforcer doesn't want it. NO ONE WANTS IT!!! Come on guys when will it be sunny enough for you to be patriots?
