Adam Kokesh, a former marine and current congressional candidate in New Mexico’s 3rd district (www.kokeshforcongress.com), appeared in the media this week to discuss bringing accountability to the Federal Reserve through H.R. 1207.
The reason the US Federal Reserve resists an open audit is that if it happens, people will see that it is just another government scheme to steal money from the poor, said Adam Kokesh, a Congressional candidate.
Last month he was interviewed at FreedomFest in Las Vegas.
”The government no longer represents the values or the freedoms that our founders fought for. The first American Revolution was incomplete. It wasn’t ‘We’re gonna have this revolution and you all can sit back and enjoy your freedoms and go back to sleep.’ They thought we would have a revolution with every generation,” says Adam Kokesh from Iraq Veterans Against the War.
An Iraq War veteran, Kokesh opposes an escalation in Afghanistan.
“What we need in Afghanistan is the same thing we need to do in Iraq and really around the world – that is start respecting the right to self-determination of the people and the sovereignty of other nations that should be sovereign,” Kokesh told RT.
“One of the justification of this troops surge in Afghanistan is that some of the British forces who are operating there were forced to rely too much on aerial strikes and that was causing too many civilian deaths. The answer to this is not “let’s put more troops on the ground and be more precise about who we are killing” –it’s let’s stop killing people, let’s stop making enemies, let’s bring the troops home,” he added.
