Lest we forget — Keep our eyes on the prize and the winning strategy for November

Been kind of chewing the results of some primaries and the PA-12 special election.  There are some people kind of sour with the NRCC about Tim Burns not being able to win a district where registered Democrats outnumber GOP voters by 2 to 1.  I found the results rather heartening.  For one, the GOP base and independents in that district really didn’t show up.  The answer to why they didn’t show could be a number of answers.  However, Mark Critz showed basically what the Democrats are going to do to try to hold onto their majority.

Critz ran as an anti-gun, pro-life, pro-gun, anti-health care, etc. Democrat.   He basically ran against Obama.  Burns could have in a comical way either run in an ad, or in a debate zinger, that Mark Critz was really a Republican candidate that had the Democratic nomination for the congressional seat of PA-12.  Something like “Mr. Critz, are you sure that you entered the right primary?  Why aren’t you a Republican?”  Remember, the Democrats won the House in 2006 by having candidates run on a conservative platform.  It looks like they are going to do so again this November.

Voters cannot be fooled again this time around and the GOP must keep that light of scrutiny and skepticism on Democratic candidates.  Democratic House incumbents in red, purple, light, and even medium blue districts should be made to stand on their votes (Cap and trade, Obamacare, etc.) this time around.  No seat is safe so long as they are attacked on their record.  I don’t know if Tim Burns ran any ads even in Democratic rich PA-12 highlighting one of the main attacking points the GOP should make real good use of this November.  You’ve seen it before.  A VOTE FOR (DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE) IS A VOTE TO KEEP NANCY PELOSI AS SPEAKER. We saw how Democrats like the Bart Stupak 12 are nothing more than phonies.  In all reality, the entire so called Blue Dog caucus should be wiped out this November by using this one very important point.  Of course, congressmen like Dan Boren, Walt Minnick, Mike Ross and many others will holler when their GOP opponent hits them with this but facts are facts.  There are no such thing as pro-life or fiscal Democrat.  A Democrat is a Democrat.  If the votes aren’t their for a socialist bill to pass, they would fold just like Stupak and his minions did.  This attacking point must be hammered by every GOP House candidate up until November.

Aside from Democratic House candidates who will likely morph into conservatives for the fall election, the Democratic party lost one of its main pillars in its voting base.  Yes, the seniors.  They will no doubt come out in droves in November in regards to what happened with Obamacare.  The Democrats have been desperate for some sort of deflection issue that could take the negative focus off them and put it on the GOP.  Looks like we found it with the passage of the immigration law in Arizona and the following actions of the Democrats like giving Calderon a standing ovation in the House as he blasted the U.S.  Then ICE officials saying they won’t pay attention to turned in immigrants from the state of Arizona.  And finally, various local Democratic officials around the country acting ridiculously such as L.A. boycotting Arizona.  Now the Democrats are going after Hispanics and will try to get them out this November to shore up for the deficiency they have with seniors and independents.  They hope to minimize their losses by using this tactic.  You can bet that Harry Reid is banking on this.  Reid’s chances are basically slim and none of getting re-elected.  However, if he is to have any chance he needs the Hispanic vote.

Hammer Democratic incumbents on their record.

Hammer Blue Fraud and conservative acting first-time Democratic candidates with Nancy Pelosi.

Show up to vote in any election up to and in November.

That’s the winning ticket.
