On June 5th, California’s 45th Congressional district will be having a primary election, with the main contest being between current establishment Republican John Campbell and Conservative Republican John Webb.
Campbell, while being a good soldier on a few issues, has consistently been a thorn in the side of conservative crusaders like myself. His vote to repeal Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell was one in which only liberals and RINOs voted for, and has lead to a drop in morale among our armed forces.
This isn’t out of the ordinary for John Campbell either, he voted in favor of Cash for Clunkers, the TARP bailouts, and abstained from voting against the Auto Bailout when it came up for a vote. His increasingly questionable voting record has even led to the Orange County Republican Party to endorse no one in this race, even though every other sitting Republican Congressman was endorsed.

Being the conservative heart of Orange County, it is a shame that a true conservative is not representing the district, but that can change if John Webb makes it into the top two on June 5th in the open primary. I personally have donated to Webb’s campaign, and encourage you all to do the same, and if you live in the district, to vote for him as well. The primary is in one week, and a final strong push can get Webb into the top two to make it into the general
