I’ve been talking about it for a while on here, and now I’m reading others writing about it on the internet. Obama rolled through the campaign season talking about the change he was going to bring to Washington. I wrote about that in an earlier blog post, and then again in a second. I never believed for a second that he was going to ride in on a white stallion and make Washington different. Why not? Because he isn’t the first politician to say those sorts of things.
After that initial blog post, a friend of mine (a Democrat) came after me explaining that the savior of the DNC, nay, the United States didn’t mean he was going to change who he was going to hire (but he did say clearly he was not going to hire Washington Insiders) – it was more about a change of ideas.
This brings us to the article linked at the top. Not only did he fail to bring the change of who he was hiring (lots of insiders), but now he is falling back on all the lies he told us to dupe half the country to vote for him.
I don’t know about you all, but this is the brand of change I can believe in whole-heartedly. Obama is from the same political machine as Rod Blagojevich, Richard Daly, Al Capone and Roland Burris. Why is anyone surprised that he’s telling us one thing and doing another?
Bear in mind, the majority of what Obama is saying really boils down to basically proclaiming that he is not George Bush. He hasn’t said much new or done much except tell us the same thing he said on the trail – Bush’s policies were bad, Republicans are tyrannical, etc. Good – but how about doing something? Well, something besides spending a trillion dollars at a shot. That’s not a very smart idea.
