I think Mark Levin, on his radio show last night, asked the right question: is Al Sharpton running the NFL? The last I checked, he didn't. But Sharpton sure seemed like he did when he announced, loudly, that Rush Limbaugh shouldn't be a part-owner in an NFL team. Using the racist fear-mongering and outright race-baiting lies that are the hallmark of leftists, Limbaugh was dropped from consideration in a group's bid to buy the St. Louis Rams franchise.
As we've seen already, racist race-baiters like Sharpton interject themselves into as much as they can get away with, and are usually given plenty of latitude by media morons who are either in agreement with racists like Sharpton or too cowardly to call these racists racists.

The Democratic Mayor of Baltimore, Sheila Dixon, has been indicted for theft and perjury and set to go on trial soon. Via a post by Flopping Aces reader Rob, the Maryland NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) weighed in simply because Dixon is black:
Leaders of the Maryland NAACP, worried that a Baltimore mayor's criminal conviction could result in the appointment of a white or Republican leader who may not fully represent the majority black and Democratic city, are asking state lawmakers to strip the governor of authority to permanently fill the office.
It gets worse. The head of the Baltimore Chapter of the NAACP, Marvin L. Cheatham, had this to say:
"Our concern is who would the governor appoint?" Cheatham said. "Here you have a predominantly African-American city. What if the governor appointed somebody white? ... Would he appoint someone Irish to be the mayor?"
Cheatham also said he worried that a future Republican governor could appoint someone from his party to lead a city where Democrats outnumber Republicans 9 to 1. "Would not the Republican governor have the ability to pick a Republican mayor?" he asked. "We just think there are some unanswered questions about the process," Cheatham said.
In his post, Rob makes a poignant statement and asks a question:
Apparently the NAACP practices the very thing it protests against. Can you imagine what the outcry would be if we said the same thing? These people should be ashamed of themselves, but they are all liberal Dems, so they don’t even see the hypocrisy, and nor will the clueless Sun point it out.
Reading the whole Baltimore Sun piece, Rob is right. I have no doubt the Sun reporter didn't contemplate Cheatham's statements as anything approaching racism because the Democratic state-run media doesn't acknowledge that any racism occurs on the part of those who make it a point to support the Democrats, even the large swath of racist Democrats.
Rob's question is pertinent; what if today a white person said something about replacing a white politician with another white politician, using similar reasoning as Cheatham used in regards to black politicians? The Sharptons, the (Jesse) Jacksons, and the usual race-baiting racists, including Cheatham himself, would be outraged! that America was returning to the days of the Ku Klux Klan (represented now by white West Virginia Sen. Robert Byrd; this is usually ignored by these same racists because Byrd is a Democrat). That Democratic state-run media, the same tools that are too beholden to these racist Democrats, would aid and abet the hypocrisy.
The double standard of racism in Baltimore follows what happened in my former home state of Illinois following the election of Barack Obama as President. One of the most despicable episodes in recent memory is the selection of Roland Burris (D-IL) to the U.S. Senate seat previously occupied by President Obama. Never mind that Burris was selected by the corrupt Democrat, former Gov. Rod Blagojevich; the racist race-baiters within the government crawled like slugs out of the woodwork. One of the worst is former Black Panther terrorist Rep. Bobby Rush (D-IL), the only person to have defeated Obama in an election (the 2000 primary for Rush's House seat). Here is what I said late last year:
As I had mentioned about three weeks ago, Rush, at the beginning of the month, before Blago's arrest, was only concerned that an African-American replace The One in the vacated Senate seat. After the Governor's arrest, Rush was against Blagojevich making the selection.
Then Burris was selected by Blago:
Doing another flip-flop after finding out that Burris, who is African-American, was selected, Rush was ecstatic, and then threw out the race card:
Burris left the door open to seeking reelection, then welcomed to the podium of the free-wheeling press conference Rep. Bobby Rush, Obama's old antagonist, who thanked God for the appointment.
Rush also dived into the issue of race.
"We need to have not just one African-American in the U.S. Senate, we need to have many African-Americans in the U.S. Senate, " he said, calling the Burress choice an issue of "tremendous national importance, and asked listeners "not to hang or lynch the appointee as you try to castigate the appointor."
It was bad enough that Burris tainted himself by accepting the selection from the corrupt Blago, but Burris further tainted the selection when he allowed the race-baiting racist Bobby Rush preemptively make any opposition to the selection an act of racism, a hate crime.
Where was Sharpton in all of this? On January 6th of this year, a week or so after the above episode, Sharpton was being interviewed by Neil Cavuto. At around 2 minutes 19 seconds into the video at the link, Cavuto gets to the point:
Cavuto: Is it wise for him [Burris] to play the race card, to say, and his supporters to say, this has become a racial issue?
Sharpton: I don't think that Burris has played that at all. I've not heard Roland Burris say that.
Note how Sharpton ignores half of what Cavuto asked him, because clearly many of Burris' supporters, especially Bobby Rush, did play the race card. And because Burris allowed this to occur, in his presence no less, Burris, in fact, also played the race card. Only a racist would make or allow a supporter to make such broad judgments about the opposition. And only a racist like Sharpton would lie about what Burris did or didn't do.
What's sad is that there are white racists out there. Another Black Conservative links to a story showing one of them. ABC's issue is not only the white racist being reported on, but a few others as well:
So to all you members and followers of the Raaaaacism Industrial Complex who applaud in agreement to the manufactured racism of Janeane Garofalo, Jimmy Carter, Rep. Hank Johnson and the like know this, you are helping to hide real racists like Lanzo in a sea of falsely accused racists.
Apparently the NFL is now being run by race-baiting racist Al Sharpton. What someone should ask the new commissioner is whether or not he'll implement a race-based quota system, also known as affirmative action, into the NFL. If wagering on this, it's a sucker bet since it would never happen.
