Strike while the iron is hot! Administration concerned about ObamaCare tax implication.
Speaker Boehner, redeem yourself!
In an article in the New York Times titled “White House seeks to Limit Health Law’s Tax Troubles”
Obama administration officials and other supporters of the Affordable Care Act say they worry that the tax-filing season will generate new anger as uninsured consumers learn that they must pay tax penalties and as many people struggle with complex forms needed to justify tax credits they received in 2014 to pay for health insurance
This is an extraordinary opportunity
for Republicans to rub the Democrats face in this poop called affordable health care for bipartisanship. The administration wants to limin the health care laws tax troubles? We can help. The Republicans should propose to solve the tax troubles, once and for all, with a bill to rescind the mandates and penalties retroactive to 2014 and convert to the exchanges to purely voluntary participation. Problem solved.
Yes, I would be much happier if the entire law was rescinded. But without the penalties and mandate the costs for government subsidies will soar. Later, in a budget move that is not likely to meet with too much resistance the Republicans can put forth a bill as part of the budget process to end subsidies to “greedy insurance companies” . The health law should wither on the vine after that because no insurance company will take the risk and participate with any affordable priced policy. If the law doesn’t expire on it’s own by some other means Republicans can finish the job by not funding it for the following year, or if required proposing to repeal the remaining elements in the spring of 2016 with protests captured for the 2016 election sound bite cycle.
But right now we need to get a simple bill to the floor of Congress. Something simple like:
“THE COMMON INTEREST EXEMPTION BILL”
A bill to grant US citizens and tax payers (the common interest group) comparable opportunity to benefit from exemptions like those that the administration has granted without Congressional approval to special interest groups that donated large sums of money to Democrats and President fund raising efforts. These special interest groups used these donations to purchase influence and secure Presidential granted exemptions not approved by Congress.
In the “common interest” the legislature of the United States repeals the portion of the affordable care act that requires individuals to purchase insurance, or prove they are now or have been in the past covered by insurance.
<insert appropriate=”” lines=”” and=”” paragraph=”” references=””>
The bill will take effect immediately upon adoption and apply retroactively to January.1, 2014.
While people are struggling with the Health Care Law’s tax ramifications we want the Democrats to stand up and go on record defending the benefits of the tax torture that the Democrats are unilaterally imposing this tax season.
The media will have a field day over the Democrats in Congress and the Senate trying to defend the health care law while people can think of nothing else then the nasty effects of this law. Extra Extra Health Care fiasco will sell news!!
Republicans will want to see the President attempt to veto this bill in the face of massive public outrage over the deceit that it would save people money.
Now all we need is the self describe “conservative” and champion spendthrift, Speaker of the House Rep. John Boehner (R-OH) N/A% prove that he is more than a deluded, lying, blubbering, Obama Republican and get the bill to the floor. I might even give him the benefit of the doubt if he could find the cahunas to champion this propaganda windfall .
