First Look: CPR Full Page Ad/Open Letter To Obama Running In Thursday’s Washington Post

Tomorrow (Thursday) Conservatives for Patients’ Rights (CPR) is running a full page Ad/Open Letter to president Obama in the Washington Post (see ad below)

Along with tomorrows ad CPR has launched phase one of a multi-million dollar campaign with three weeks of TV and radio advertising on CNN, Fox and both the Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity shows. Here’s the first TV spot followed by some excerpts from tomorrows ad and a fist look

(CPR) Chairman Rick Scott to President Obama – as the president convenes his health care reform summit. Scott urges Obama to reveal specific details about the health care plan he envisions, not just specifics on how much he intends to spend as he did last week — $634 billion. Scott: “Mr. President, Americans don’t want surprises. … Please tell us the specifics of your plan so that all Americans can make a judgment on it for themselves.” Scott notes that already the Obama administration and congressional Democrats have created an ominous sounding “Federal Coordinating Council” for health care that was buried in the recently enacted stimulus package, and for which there was no debate. Scott: “Many Americans are leery about allowing the government to have a more significant role in making private health care decisions that should only be made by a patient and their doctor.”
