This will be the last diary you'll be seeing from me for the year. I originally was gonna stop at my previous one which reflects on 2013 and looks on to 2014, but I think Christmas deserves everybody's attention. While it's been a tough year (and 2014 may well be tougher), I fully believe we in the liberty movement will triumph in the end. It's tough in the fight we're in, but I think a little faith as both a Christian and a libertarian always helps (particularly this holiday season).
Something else of which doesn't get mentioned is that the liberty movement is picking up steam - at the college campuses. I'm a subscriber to the Ron Paul Channel and he's always talked about the positive he receives at college campuses. The best hope for the liberty movement (conservatives, libertarians, constitutionalists) is the next generation of which I'm proud to be a part of. It's Austrian economics that are sweeping colleges across the country and even the world too.
There's now a Mises Institute in various countries across the world advocating for the free market and smaller government. Why's nobody pointing this out??? This is significant good news. It is true government's getting bigger, but the general populace has gotten much more fiscally conservative at levels not seen since the 1950s. And eventually that'll translate into a more fiscally conservative government. 2014 will be a year of opportunity to elect more those akin to Rand Paul, Ted Cruz and Mike Lee.
Never despair my friends. Liberty shall see victory in time. A little spiritual faith and effort always makes a difference. Thanks for listening. Merry Christmas and God bless you and your family!
