Today is day three of the massive manhunt for Christopher Dorner -- the enraged cop-killer. As previously noted, this case literally hit close to home for me when Dorner took out his rage on two police officers just a few blocks from my home in Riverside, CA. You can read more about day one and two here and here.
As of the latest reports, the manhunt in Big Bear, CA is still ongoing. Police found Dorner's truck -- the one used in the Riverside police shooting -- about eight hours after he ambushed the policemen in Riverside, in a remote area of the mountain community and the truck had been set on fire. Big Bear is about a forty minute drive from Riverside.
Personally, I don't think Dorner is still on the mountain. After reading the killer's manifesto, I think he is being very strategic and, more than likely, had another vehicle ready to use near the area he abandoned the burning truck. Big Bear is a small mountain community with limited road access and it would be foolish to take off on foot there. So, I think he is long gone from the mountain and will surface when he is ready for his next ambush.
Authorities are still not releasing much information and it is still a mystery to me how and why Dorner came to Riverside -- a town sixty miles east of Los Angeles and in a different county -- to kill policemen when his rage is directed at the LAPD. According to Riverside's police chief, the officers Dorner ambushed here had no connection to Dorner.
Also interesting is how the media is making no mention of Dorner's references to his political points of view in his manifesto. In it, he praised Obama and Hillary and literally cursed La Pierre -- the head of the NRA. Guess the left doesn't want the public to know that the latest shooting maniac is one of their own. Especially that he is a gun-control enthusiast. Hypocrisy magnified and insanity confirmed.
Let not your heart be troubled, ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself that where I am you may be also. John 14:1-3
Have a great weekend.
