It's immensely satisfying to watch the Dems choke, gag and stutter as they watch in horror the calamities being created by their dream legislation -- the (un)Affordable Care Act. Most of us have already heard Sen. Max Baucus, the Montana Democrat who wrote much of the Affordable Care Act, bemoan the train wreck he sees coming, but here's more reality slapping the Dems in the face from the editorial board of the San Diego Union Tribune:
The ACA’s flaws are so fundamental and so immense that it’s difficult to even give the president and congressional Democrats credit for good intentions. Obamacare is an abomination that needs a vast overhaul. And even then it might not be salvageable — or worth salvaging.
But this from a Democrat physician in the House says it all:
Rep. Ami Bera, one of two Democratic physicians in the House, doesn't want Obamacare to fail.
But the freshman member of Congress is worried about President Barack Obama's signature domestic achievement.
"I have been consistently concerned about the cost of care going up," said Bera, a former chief medical officer for Sacramento County and an assistant dean at UC Davis medical school.
Are we soon going to see a bi-partisan call for the wholesale repeal of this travesty? Train wreck indeed. Hahaha.
The Watercooler is always an open thread.
