Just when I was really getting my hopes up as I read this piece by Ron Robinson announcing the formation of the Tea Party California Caucus, I woke up to the news that the California Senate passed a bill to make it much easier for women in the state to get abortions.
It would be easier for California women to get abortions under a bill the state Senate approved Monday.
Assembly Bill 154 expands the types of medical providers that can offer abortions by allowing nurse practitioners, certified nurse-midwives and physician assistants to perform the procedure during the first trimester of pregnancy.
The bill by Assemblywoman Toni Atkins, D-San Diego, cleared the Senate on a vote of 25-11
And check out this piece at the San Diego Union Tribune. They have a live poll that shows Californian's are overwhelmingly opposed to making it easier to get abortions.
The Tea Party California Caucus has their work cut out for them. And their success may very well lead to saving many babies' lives.
