There is a pit at the bottom of my stomach
...and that is a good thing
Now – before any of you reading the headline think that I am giving up, no I am not.
I just have this pit at the bottom of stomach… something is going to go wrong. I just get this feeling that it’s going to be a contested election.
I call this a healthy problem. While I cannot believe that Obama and Romney are tied, I cannot believe that Obama can win – legally (or without a army of lawyers), and I also cannot believe that no matter how large Romney wins, they (the media and the left) are going to really pound on his election.
Let me restate that in more clear terms: I cannot believe that with the economy the way it is, and the foreign policy being done the way it is, I cannot believe that President Barack Hussein Obama (mmm, mmm, mmm) can legitimately win a second term. There will have to be some vote fraud.
I do not throw this around lightly. With everything that is coming out about voters noticing that their votes are being switch back to Obama, etc… that just has me concerned.
But what gives me solace is the fact that people ARE noticing these problems, and reporting them. Even being here in the great “safe red” state of Texas, I voted straight Republican. The machine gave me the opportunity to review my ballot, and I took the time to review it… everything was in order and I casted my voted (I voted early last weekend)
A co-worker of my wife’s said that she waited over an HOUR to vote EARLY here in Texas. That to me says something. Usually.. we Texans will just show up at the polls on election day. But waiting for an HOUR wait in TEXAS for EARLY VOTING? I have a feeling that Ted Cruz is going to CRUISE to his Senate seat.
I feel that Romney is pulling a flank attack with Wisconsin, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, and other swing states that would make Ohio not that important. I know that practically no president has won the election without Ohio, but there is a first time for everything.
I just fear a 2000 or 2004 all over again. Notice that there were NO questions about Obama’s election in 2008. The 2000 Election is an enigma in and of itself, and 2004 wasn’t much better.
But then I have to stand back and look at everything we have done over the past 3 years or so. The Tea Party, the March on Washington, the 2010 wipeout. I was instrumental in the founding of the San Antonio Tea Party, and I was there at the top of Capitol Hill on 9/12/09 – I have experienced this conservative ascendency intimately.
Why on God’s Good Green Earth is Obama even anywhere close in the polls? I just don’t get it, but then again – I usually don’t pay attention to polls anyway.
With that being said, I still think part of the polls is the Wilder Effect: People don’t want to be on the phone saying they voting against the black guy.
I am hoping for a blowout.. I don’t think we will get it…turnout is key.
