open your ears a bit more then as we have a few tech companies here or moving here from California all due to the absurdly high taxes, regulations, and state government intrusive oversight. It has nothing to do with lower wages as the new employees here will make a comparable wage as they did in CA, the company will just save a fortune not being in CA anymore.

Not every company is a POS company that wants to screw the employee by keeping them broke. And sending some remedial jobs oversees due to the low wages is also not a bad thing either.

I havent heard of any tech company going to “greener pastures” due to taxes. All they want is cheap labor. Read up about H1B visas. Go to technology forums like www.dice.com. Learn how foreign offshoring companies are killing the tech industry here using fraud. From your answer, I get the feeling thst it is ok to get all the 1 billion people into the USA. Thank you

1.) Except for Solano county, the Bay Area counties all voted down Prop 8.

2.) One vote in San Jose does not negate the stranglehold that SEIU and its siblings have over local politicians and representatives day in and day out.

3.) Your skill at mind reading tech executives should put you on TV. So tech decisions makers find taxes irrelevant? I’d appreciate some evidence that economic theory has been repealed in the Bay Area. All I read about are firms cutting back or leaving for greener pastures.

Finally, conservatism says that we prosper from having the best talent working for American firms. Government exclusion of foreigners will just hurt our competitiveness as the talent goes where it’s valued.
