BO Birth Certificate Issue: I Don’t Get It

Why do we hear nothing from the main stream media about the BO birth certificate issue?

Is our Constitution really not important to them?

This is a very strange issue. It could be put to rest so easily by BO by just producing the original and the issue is over. The only reason I can think of not to produce it, is it does not exist. This, by itself, does not mean he is not qualified to be president it just means like many of us he has lost or misplaced his original birth certificate.

But either way, he needs to offer some definitive proof that he is constitutionally qualified before the Electoral College meets. Why does he need to stall and evade? Just admit the truth and prove his citizenship some other way – unless maybe, just maybe, he can’t.

I cannot fathom why the media will not report on this subject – last I heard that were dozens of lawsuits going on yet no mainstream media coverage. Go figure.

BO may rewrite the Constitution before he ever takes office. Frightening.

the issue is the province of conspiracy theorists.

It’s in the same realm as 9/11 truthers.

  • pickett168

It’s nonsense like this that weakens real criticisms of Obama. Obama HAS produced a legitimate copy of his birth certificate (shttp://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/borninthe_usa.html)

composing THIS piece of crap. (Please note: not a question.)

Hopefully Erick/Moe will wipe this off the server.

We have real issues to deal with, I would suggest you start your own website to flog this silliness.

  • dimondintherough

I am sorry to have upset any with this and I hope you all are correct but still no media coverage? Even 9/11 conspiracy wackos get media coverage of their topic. Oh well. I did not mean to offend, I have just heard alot about this and was curious.

  • mbecker908

With apologies to the beautiful bird.

This crap gets exactly ALL the coverage it deserves. It’s a flat lie. Untrue. No substance.

    Move on. And out.

(which is more courtesy than your lame question deserves)

Obama is perfectly happy to have you and others ranting that he’s not a U.S. citizen by birth. I think he has some real dirt to avoid, so having idiocy like this circulating is a useful distraction for Obama.

The more ridiculous accusations against Obama there are, the more people will dismiss legitimate charges against him. They’ll figure it’s just more of the kooky stuff they’ve already heard, not worth the time considering the evidence for the real accusation.

People pushing your point are just as valuable to Obama as the anti-Clinton kooks were to President Clinton. After hearing unhinged accusations like Clinton having his White House counsel murdered or as Governor smuggling cocaine, millions of people were inclined to tune out real evidence of Clinton’s illegal campaign contributions.

to see him produce a legit birth certificate or one of you geniuses need to tell me why he hasn’t. And don’t tell me that photoshopped phony he posted is anything more than a photoshopped phoney.

My guess is, based on his appointments to date, that Obama refuses to produce his legitimate birth certificate because it would show that Bill Clinton is his father. Afterall I think I saw a picture of Obama’s mother and she looked a bit chubby.

  • JLenardDetroit

silly.. it was a divine birth… no HUMAN Father… that’s why no certificate…

Pardon me while I walk away giggling…

Seriously though, I will throw in this one thing… There are, IMO no doubt, some on the other conspiracy side that see this and HOPE that it is true. It is part of that CHANGE they are looking for and expecting that because of his descendancy the World is gonna just love us and we’ll all be singing Kumbaya in the streets across the Planet on 1/20/09.

Ugh, made myself sick to the stomach again. Liberals make me ill.

Sadly, those fools will be waking up with one heck of a hangover, but will just wander off to the Bar for more kool-aid.

While I agree that this issue is lacking in credability, I have one question.
Why would anybody spend one dime on lawyers to defend yorself from such attacks? By simply producing a pretty benign piece of paper, you also make your detractors look like fools as well.

The problem with that, for Obama’s political interests, is that would influence a lot of the birth certificate troofers to stop claiming Obama wasn’t born in the U.S.

Your faulty premise is the belief that Obama would rather not have these accusations circulating through the fever swamp. But Obama has shown himself primarily motivated by his own political interests, and it helps him to have accusations floating around that almost everybody dismisses as loony. The more that most people associate criticisms of Obama with this kind of nonsense, the easier it is for Obama to deflect credible accusations as here we go again. Thus Obama’s interest is for these accusations to continue.

I’m tempted to suggest Obama is just playing you guys, but that gives him too much credit. The birth certificate troofers came up with this all by themselves, but Obama is happy to accept all the free help his unhinged accusers are anxious to give him.

  • Tbone

The lack of reason and faulty logic behindyour assertions is no better than any “troofers”.

To say the guy won’t produce a legit BC just to annoy the other side is like, Just Plain Stupid.

  • gensec

To say the guy won’t produce a legit BC just to annoy the other side is like, Just Plain Stupid.

I never said any such thing. The fact that you make such a Just Plain Stupid assertion is an illustration of the reality-challenged condition of birth certificate troofers.

Obama’s incentive to not indulge the kooks’ demands for the original birth certificate is because that could decrease the amount of accusations that Obama wasn’t born a U.S. citizen. That has nothing to do with annoying those kooks. It’s strictly a political calculation: having a bunch of nonsense accusations hurled at him is a helpful inoculation against some real dirt that might be thrown at Obama, just like the clowns accusing Clinton of murdering Vince Foster helped him fend off real scandals.

Whether you or any birth certificate troofers are annoyed is of no consequence to Obama. If accusing Obama of being born in Kenya or whatever gives those clowns pleasure rather than annoyance, that’s just fine with Obama as long as they keep helping him with accusations that most Americans laugh at.

Although I personally believe that the birth certificate issue has been effectively put to rest, I for one do not fault you for bringing it up.

You raised the topic in a polite and respectful way. Your post certainly did not contain insults and/or threats. Your post, at least to me, indicated that you are open to debate.

Fearing a concerted effort by the media to protect Obama is not the stuff of conspiracy theories. That you would think such a thing does not make you a raving lunatic. It makes you a realist. Only a total fool would try to make a case that the media didn’t help Obama. So much of Obama’s past was never investigated with vigor by any journalist, save for Stanley Kurtz of the National Review. Hence, applying the idea of media protection to the birth certificate issue is merely an application of logic. If the media protected him everywhere else, why not here too? Your speculation of media protection is not the stuff of tin foil hats.

Fearing that Obama wants to change the constitution is not the stuff of fantasy either. When Obama spoke of “redistributive justice”, he also mentioned his belief that the constitution is flawed. He obviously thinks he’s just the guy to fix it.

So, although I too think the birth certificate issue is settled, I don’t fault you for bringing it up, especially in light of the manner in which you did it.

Finally, I am also new to redstate, at least as a diarist. I’ve read the site for some time now, but only recently jumped into the debate (an Obama win will do that, eh?). From one new diarist to another, I say welcome . . . please stay . . . raise issues . . . debate them with passion, respect, and maturity.

    Take Care, mailloux

“It’s strictly a political calculation: having a bunch of nonsense accusations hurled at him is a helpful inoculation against some real dirt that might be thrown at Obama,”

This is an illustration of absolute nonsense. It defies any test of logic, reason or fundamental political strategy. I would have to say that your parroting it is either indicative of an absence of cognitive thought processes or that you have drooled on your keyboard and shorted out some of its functionality so that your posts appear to be from a random text generator.

You have a nice day too. :)

Between that and your birth certificate fixation, it sounds like you might also have been in that other elite minority who realized Clinton had Vince Foster murdered or was running drugs through the Mena airport. If only you could have made more people see the truth!

  • Tbone

or where he was born. I am interested in why he hasn’t produced it. Your assertion is that it part of some esoteric political stratergy is, quite frankly, as farfetched as any lame brain “troofer” conspiracy theory. It is you who are operating in some type of cloud reasoning.
