MEMBER DIARY

Where is the media outrage?

The Senate of the United States has just confirmed an admitted Tax Cheat to be the head of all the money in this country.  Amazing.

Where is the media outrage?  Imagine the previous Republican nominating a tax felon?  We’d get crucified.

Why did our Senators stand by and let this happen?  The moral blight on the administration by employing a known lawbreaker is beyond understanding.  We should be on the attack.

so it looks like Obama is being a uniter and you’re trying to be a divider and an obstructionist.

(oh yeah, I should add “snark alert!” in case it wasn’t obvious)

The Senate’s record so far isn’t very encouraging, I know.  The Republicans there are still very much the pushovers they were under the leadership of Trent Lott when it came time to hold the impeachment trial for Bill Clinton (who committed perjury before a grand jury investigation, for those who’re bound to dissemble the facts about this — generally, we average joes would be locked up for doing that).  I had expected better from Bill Frist, but was soon disappointed when he rolled over for the likes of John McCain, Olympia Snowe and the other “Gang of 14″ moderates (I read: Republicans in name only and a few “centrist” Democrats) in preventing filibusters against voting for GW Bush’s picks.  The Senate Republicans remain useless.

Expect Obama to get practically everything he wants in the “honeymoon” period, irregardless of whatever burps or grumbles you’ll be hearing on the other side of the aisle…

I forgot to add the observation that I’ve had of the MSM for the past several years now.  There is no “media outrage” because it doesn’t involve an active conservative (since Republicans are no longer openly pro-American).  It is essentially a wing of the Socialist-Democratic party; think of it as Obama’s Pravda now.
