I read your opinion the other day when you cited inherent comtempt but I think that’s more explosive. And here’s why.

According to the Federalist Papers, impeachment is an inquest that gives the President a forum to make his case. It’s not an indictment but allows him/her to defend his position. The People can then decide if he used his powers rightfully.

That allows them to JAIL Holder without trial, for the purpose of compelling him to produce the documents (Kind of like what happens if a county judge orders you to turn over evidence, and you say ‘bite me’ in open court).

He can only be held for the remainder of the session of Congress (which IIRC runs ’till December), but putting him in jail for 6mo would force Obama to replace him as AG (he’s not able to perform his duties from a federal holding cell)….

Which gets you the effect of impeachment, without the mess…

Then, when Romney wins, the option for the new DoJ to go after him like a juiced up baseball player is still there…

It’s not about liking or not liking the guy, it’s not about who he is or what he is… It’s about ‘sorry, you did a bad job, and it’s going to cost you your job… Don’t steal the R’s from the keyboards on your way out…’

That gets us mostly out of the ‘You’re racist’ and ‘You just want to make him fail’ line of fire that is already the D’s latest spin-point (since all their others failed so far)…

Staying on message will cause that line of attack to fail too…

Like I said, a sound case can and should be made, even without the actual actions. I think impeachment of Holder is a step in the right direction to sound the warning.

We are reaching the end of the end of our Republic and I’m so very sad to see the extremist in office and our silence to our duty to defend it. You as having served knowing exactly what I’m talking about. So before you berate me for my opinion, I implore you to think about the small steps of our destruction.
