#1 Reason to Filibuster Kagan- Death Panels or Right to Life?

She couldn’t bring herself to say she supported the natural rights of man as declared in the Declaration of Independence such as the right to Life.  So if Obamacare takes effect, Death Panels will be supported cause she will support the laws of the land and couldn’t bring herself to say anything in support of the founding guidance given in the Declaration of Independence.

Isn’t that reason enough to filibuster the Obama rubber stamp that is Elena Kagan?

    I remember, during the 2008 presidential election, there were so many that could care less about the judicial nominations that the O could do. Not just for the SC, but in ever federal court in the land. I remember one individual (on another site) that claimed to be for the Conservatives, and, I came in contact with him through Fred Thompson’s site. He said that he hated McCain so much that he could care less about judicial nominations. That was the least of his worries. Don’t have any contact with the person now, as he got so freakin radical it was insane. I guess he is now seeing the fruits of his labors.

    It’s that simple.

    And I’m almost sure they don’t have the votes to Filibuster either – there’d have to be something really, really bad to Filibuster a SCOTUS nominee, because the MSM would go ape-**** if the GOP tried. There’s not enough of a ‘smoking gun’ on Kagan to pull that trigger (though if she were replacing Scalia instead of Stevens, I think they’d be a lot more likely to give that a shot…).

    All that said, I’ll be satisfied as long as there are about 38 ‘No’ votes against her – 40 or 41 ‘No’s’ would be better, but I’ll take 38.

    Why? Because even just getting to 38-41 No votes would be a breakthrough for Senate Republicans, and would indicate that they are *finally* starting to get the message about issues like this from the Base…

    whether it’s a good idea to telegraph it is another thing….makes it less likely you’ll get your 38 to 40 votes.
