Note that whenever Obama, Emanuel, or Gibbs are asked about why polls show SO many people oppose their misguided Cap-n-Trade and Obamacare proposals, they ALWAYS segue-right-into “we need to educate the public…”.

The Democrats are right to be worried about these riled-up, white-haired folks.

Let’s not forget that the Spartan King Leonidas, standing athwart the Pass at Thermopylae had himself seen 60 Summers. The hoplites of his phalanx, to a man, were either grandfathers or had grown children of their own. 2500 years later we still talk about the sacrifice they made to help save Athenian democracy.

There is something quintessentially American about these folks standing up to defend their freedom. and their right to decide for themselves.

Nancy Pelosi said these were swastika carrying astroturfers. So did Brian Baird (D-WA). I didn’t even see any carried by the near-rioters in Tampa. Maybe she’s remembering to the ones carried by people protesting Bush’s policies and just got her protests confused.

If you can’t trust the House Speaker who can you trust…

You know, maybe if those mobsters would tone down the scary tactics of standing and clapping, and stop wearing such obviously symbolic clothing with scary American flags, maybe they wouldn’t be so intimidating.
