Additonal note about governance. There are 43 states facing financial issues and needing assistance from the Federal Goverment. The seven who are balancing their budgets: Alaska (Palin), Louisiana (Jindal), South Dakota (Rounds), North Dakota (Hoeven), Indiana (Daniels), Texas (Perry), and Missouri (Blunt). Understandably that some of the states facing challenges may not have been caused by poor management, but the constantly chaotic financial situation.

A report out yesterday noted that at a location where Palin attracted 3,000 attendees, Mitt Romney attracted around 100 last week. Romney supporters on another site dismissed Palin's star quality, saying it will blow over in due time. But the ability of relative newcomer Sarah Palin to out-draw Romney, whom they argue is "next in line" for the nomination, by a 30:1 ratio must cause some concern within Romney's camp.
