Just why do taxpayers foot the bill for Valerie Jarrett?

This question has been bugging me for months. Valerie Jarrett is a long time family friend of the Obama’s that they brought to the WH. Period. Most media present her as this “who-do voodoo” woman that Michelle and Barack just can’t live without. What exactly has that got to do with the running of the United States government? Fashion consultant? Minute to minute schedule coordinator? Daily dinner guest? What? What? I’ve yet to read an article that espouses her expertise as say, an economist, which is where BHO should be focused, or an insurance expert. Valerie Jarrett is nothing more than a political hack brought in from Chicago to make sure the Obama’s reputation doesn’t get dirtied. Oh my, that’s it. The United States taxpayers are footing the bill for Barack’s Public Relations Specialist. Yeah, that’s it. However, why on earth does the President of the United States need that type of person around to begin with?

Have been reading RedState for about a year now and perhaps you guys have already discussed the mystery that is Valerie Jarrett. I just cannot imagine a “third” person in the form of a woman that involved in any marriage. Am beginning to wonder if this is the secret in the Obama closet.Can anyone explain why hyper involved Valerie Jarrett is in BHO’s life?

    She was his primary contact with the business community until Bill Daley came in. Of course Daley could not stand it, and left pretty soon.
    She is the constant whisper in BO’s ear.
    They were both raised in Muslim countries – so they ‘think’ alike.
    She even goes on vacations with BO and Michelle.
    No wonder BO is destroying this country – because the only person he really listen’s to is val. barf

      We often pay more attention to what people do and say, vs. what is not done/said with respect to Jarrett.

      and a North Korean tour guide. Just making sure he doesn’t get sidetracked from the statist agenda.

      She has waaay too much influence for how little is known about her.

      Can’t take the Wormtongue thing too far, that would be complimentary to BO. He was never “good” enough to go bad.

    Carolina, at the very least this 3 person marriage is unhealthy. Can hardly wait to get the trio back to Chicago where they belong. It amazes me that to date there has been no exposure of mistress’s or anything like that. Just how many people are in the background protecting this guy. There is no chemistry in his marriage, when I see them together I think “cousins”.

    So nice to have such a great visual explanation! Yeah, you are so right. It is bothering the heck out of me how much influence ONE person has on a married couple. There has to be some big dollars protecting the truth from getting out.

    I know, too conspiracy theory, but it has been really bugging me for months. I cannot remember a…no wait, FDR had a relationship with Missy DeHand his “private secretary”. And Eleanor tolerated it as she was enjoying the power of the WH and all she could do for Americans. I guess. That is a little bit before my time.

    Can’t think of a reuplican president who had a second woman being his confidant to the extend of Obama and Jarrett.

    My gut tells me it is all just so wrong, leave the morality out of it…why does a grown man need this? Need to go look at some pictures where Michelle and Obama are pretend kissing and see if it is as fake and creepy as that kiss the other day with the Travoltas. Geesh, talk about weird.
