Groan, Ann Romney says Mitt is thinking about a woman VP…

and I’m not a happy camper.  Why, oh why does it seem so many think that is an answer to winning the WH back? IMHO I can think of nothing worse than another “woman” getting crucified over the short weeks between the announcement and the actual 2012 election. The Internet has some great conservative websites getting the truth out but at this point in time the Left media still has the audience. Can you imagine the vile they are going to spew if Mitt chooses a woman?

While I absolute like Palin’s straight-forth way of thinking and speaking, and yes she has been fully vetted…I heard too, too many of our men friends say they would not vote for her. Did that mean they voted for Obama or just didn’t vote? Either way, I just do not feel the United States is ready for a woman vice-president, and certainly not as second in power to step into the presidency if something should happen.

It’s not that the women being considered are not fully capable, intelligent or any of the other reasons you might say I am wrong. Here, in the real, non-political world the men are just not ready for this change.  I did vote for McCain/Palin as from the beginning I saw that Obama was an empty suit promoted from behind the scenes. However, I felt inside that too many men would not vote for Palin.

Despite the Left’s view that Hillary would keep Obama in the WH if Biden were dropped, I don’t believe that hype. It has been said that Hillary would bring Obama back to the center and have a landslide victory. Not even worth debating! She is not only a woman, but an unlikeable one at that. She is no Margaret Thatcher in either intelligence or diplomacy.

Have to admit the political climate is much different now than in 2008 and perhaps the men who refused to vote for Palin for whatever reason will go to the polls in November to vote Obama out, regardless of who is on the ticket. It is just too unpredictable. Why take that chance again?

Speaking as a woman, I hope Romney does his considering of women and then sets that thought aside. We have quite a few qualified men who would enhance the ticket. Why start a rumble by selecting a woman. I for one, am not going to be happy if that occurs, we’ve got enough negative press and ads against us already.

Hopefully they would vet her well, but what I’ve heard of her is awesome.

after the SCOTUS ruling. The tweet was take her off the list because of her response. I believe she praised parts of Obamacare and refused to endorse the repealing of it.

Who cares about anything else (other than electoral popularity of course).

I’d like to see Rubio or Jindal for geographic balance and skill-sets (Jindal is a former pre-med, who studied Health Policy at Oxford on a Rhodes, for example.)

it seems the woman he may be considering is Sen. Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire, although she is not on “shortlist.”

for this Republican lady! Although I have been known to say that perhaps Rubio should wait a few years. However I listen carefully the few times he puts himself before the press and wow, he is so articulate. You can’t speak as well as he does on the issues without knowing what you are saying. That might be the number one thing I detest about Obama, he drones on and on and says nothing. It’s been a while since any one word he has spoken has sent me to my dictionary to double check it’s meaning.

Personally I like “plain speak”, which I guess is why I like Palin and of course, Allen West.

Total agreement, pick someone qualified…VBG, but not someone who send the Left nuts like they did over Palin. Just don’t want to go there again.

Bobby is great on energy and health care issues … both are going to be wheelhouse issues for the Romney administration.

I still expect Romney to pick a legislator, not an executive, since the major part of the veep role is going to be finessing the Senate….

From what I’ve seen Romney likes to play games with the media. All that was basically said was that it is on the table. The only viable woman is Ms. Rice and that’s the only woman I can see him selecting. She’s a smart black female who’s not married. And she has qualifications. The media would wet themselves trying to find a way to attack her. Many men balk at the idea of having a “first man” in the White House if a woman were elected. Well, Ms. Rice is not married, so that’s down the drain too. And the only reason Hillary is so popular is Bill Clinton.

I have no problem with people using the Vice Presidency to attract votes IF the choice is qualified. If the choice is unqualified then it irritates me. For me a 2 term Senator who’s been around long enough to have been on various committees and has a background besides just being a politician and can think logically would do just fine for me.

In that you’d never have to worry about the future of the country if the top guy’s number came up while he was in office. The only duty of the Vice-President is to ensure the continuity of the government if the President dies. Jindal would have that covered in spades. The debates would be between a guy who thinks he’s the smartest guy in the room (Gaffe Machine, Joe Biden) and the guy who actually is the smartest guy in the room (and because he is, doesn’t see the need to beat everyone over the head with it – The Governor of Louisiana). The fact is the Republicans have a deep bench and I’d still hold out hope for Fortuno as well to get a look.

Though I don’t think him to be even a good VP choice could we get a special debate between “VP Joe Biden” and “Romney Supporter” Chris Christie. I mean we could even make a drinking game out of the number of times Christie asks Joe Biden: “Are You Stupid”.
