From what I’ve seen Romney likes to play games with the media. All that was basically said was that it is on the table. The only viable woman is Ms. Rice and that’s the only woman I can see him selecting. She’s a smart black female who’s not married. And she has qualifications. The media would wet themselves trying to find a way to attack her. Many men balk at the idea of having a “first man” in the White House if a woman were elected. Well, Ms. Rice is not married, so that’s down the drain too. And the only reason Hillary is so popular is Bill Clinton.

I have no problem with people using the Vice Presidency to attract votes IF the choice is qualified. If the choice is unqualified then it irritates me. For me a 2 term Senator who’s been around long enough to have been on various committees and has a background besides just being a politician and can think logically would do just fine for me.

In that you’d never have to worry about the future of the country if the top guy’s number came up while he was in office. The only duty of the Vice-President is to ensure the continuity of the government if the President dies. Jindal would have that covered in spades. The debates would be between a guy who thinks he’s the smartest guy in the room (Gaffe Machine, Joe Biden) and the guy who actually is the smartest guy in the room (and because he is, doesn’t see the need to beat everyone over the head with it – The Governor of Louisiana). The fact is the Republicans have a deep bench and I’d still hold out hope for Fortuno as well to get a look.

Though I don’t think him to be even a good VP choice could we get a special debate between “VP Joe Biden” and “Romney Supporter” Chris Christie. I mean we could even make a drinking game out of the number of times Christie asks Joe Biden: “Are You Stupid”.

Bobby is great on energy and health care issues … both are going to be wheelhouse issues for the Romney administration.

I still expect Romney to pick a legislator, not an executive, since the major part of the veep role is going to be finessing the Senate….

for this Republican lady! Although I have been known to say that perhaps Rubio should wait a few years. However I listen carefully the few times he puts himself before the press and wow, he is so articulate. You can’t speak as well as he does on the issues without knowing what you are saying. That might be the number one thing I detest about Obama, he drones on and on and says nothing. It’s been a while since any one word he has spoken has sent me to my dictionary to double check it’s meaning.

Personally I like “plain speak”, which I guess is why I like Palin and of course, Allen West.

Total agreement, pick someone qualified…VBG, but not someone who send the Left nuts like they did over Palin. Just don’t want to go there again.

Who cares about anything else (other than electoral popularity of course).

I’d like to see Rubio or Jindal for geographic balance and skill-sets (Jindal is a former pre-med, who studied Health Policy at Oxford on a Rhodes, for example.)
