This is what Newt’s Campaign Degenerated to

The great defender of Medicare (Newt Gingrich is a man of many hats) strikes with a despicable new ad in Florida, full of unproven allegations directed at Romney.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=jVUQuJDEs04#!

Really Newt?

Newt already sank pretty low with his Bain documentary, full of misleading information, but this current piece of trash designed specifically for Florida stinks of desperation and of a unscrupulous mindset that should be never let close to the presidency of the United States.

Newt Gingrich has to answer for the garbage his people are spewing out while he pretends to be a victim of the “establishment”.

I assume you plan on providing the “facts” that back up these claims of yours???
While your fervently googling sites for something to back up what you have insinuated consider some simple facts.

In 1989, Bain Capital purchased controlling interest in Damon Corp
Romney PERSONALLY set on its board of directors.
Damon was found guilty of defrauding the taxpayers (you and me) out of millions of dollars during the period Romney was running the company.
Damon plead guilty to the charges and was fined over $119-million, which was, at the time, the largest criminal healthcare fine in Massachusetts history.
As is very common in Romney’s background the medical testing company went bankrupt, with thousands losing their jobs, Bain Capital captured a $12 million profit.
Romney?s participation was characterized in 1996 by Corporate Crime Reporter: ?As manager and board member of Damon Corp, Mitt Romney sits at the center of one of the top 15 corporate crimes of the 1990?s.?
Romney claimed later that he had helped uncover the illegal activity at Damon, asking the board?s lawyers to investigate. As a result, he said, the board took corrective action before selling the company in 1993 to Corning Inc. However, according to the court records, the Damon scheme continued throughout Bain?s ownership, and prosecutors credited Corning, not Romney, with taking corrective action.

Seems pretty straight forward to me. Not really sure where you come up with desperate, despicable or misleading?

I have it disgusting that Romney supporters are willing to overlook serious crimes of fraud and out right lies by Romney, consider his hands clean from the ads put out by his super pac that smear and lie about Newt, but when Newt’s super pac puts out an ad pointing out Romney’s crimes and crony capitalism, Newt must take the blame. This reminds me of Obama supporters who overlooked ALL of Barack Obama’s shady dealings, these people are drinking the Obama kool-ade.

I thought Gingrich was very clear about the success of cash prize incentivization applied to re-starting America’s space program that has been consumed by layers of government bureacracy.
WHICH Romney attacked – and attack-Romney is more confidence-killing than plastic-Romney.

Gingrich’s idea to incentivize America’s now-dead space program made me think about how England’s Parliament offered a cash prize in 1714 to anyone who could find a reliable way for sailors and ship navigators to determine Longitude while at sea.

It still took sixty years for John Harrison’s chronometer, but all the tinkerers and scientists stimulated by that prize did wonders for England’s economy, and spirit.

Oh, and before Romney arrived on the debate stage in Florida, his solution for the housing crisis was to “let the Free Market find it’s bottom”.
After South Carolina, Romney wanted to “make the foreclosure process more efficient.”

Now he wants to “rebuild housing”?
Does he not know housing was over-built in Florida?

Romney offered his resume as reason he is electable.
Even Mr. Bain himself says Romney refused to take personal risk when Mr. Bain asked Romneyto head up Bain Capital – which Romney always says on the campaign trail was HIS idea.

Romney is so clueless about the REAL economy that it is beyond my comprehension that his head has not exploded.

    http://www.bostonherald.com/news/opinion/op_ed/view/20220127smoke_gets_in_mitts_guise/

Michael Graham writes in the Boston Herald:
“…Personally I can?t think of a better way to be perceived as an entitled elitist than to have your supporters announce that, unless you win, the voting shouldn?t count. And it?s not just Romney?s team …

The GOP establishment of Bush, DeLay and McCain gave us massive spending increases, huge debts and poorly-executed wars. They also gave us candidates who lost the popular vote in every election since 1992.

After the electoral fiascoes of ?06 and ?08, it wasn?t the Washington GOP that turned things around. It was the conservative base and the Tea Party. They helped elect Sen. Scott Brown here and handed the House back to the GOP.

And now party bosses wonder why the base refuses to take our ?Mitt medicine? and do as we?re told. Maybe it?s because we?re tired of losing.

That?s the real message Republican voters are trying to send. No more losing politely with some moderate squishy candidate who cares more about what East Coast elites think of him than conservative voters do.

You really want to stop Newt? It?s simple. Dump Mitt. …”

    • deniser55

Romney is buying this primary election, with his 15 to 1 television buys of negative attack ads. Romney is not making his own case, he’s just bringing down Newt, makes me wonder what would happen if the money was matched dollar for dollar. I don’t think Romney would win.

      • Common_Cents

It’s the DC establishment vs. the rest of us now.

Imagine putting Romney on a basketball court against 5 others, then the narrative after the game is how poorly Romney did.

This is what is happening to Gingrich.

Consolidate Santorum and maybe some paul support and its a totally different ball game.

Notice that the reference to “anti romney” has nearly completely disappeared in the media. Why? The establishment does not want to lend any hand in encouraging consolidation of the anti romney’s.

It is funny to me how no matter what is linked to Mitt people like Ender have no problem with it. It shows they could care less about the fact that Miit becomes whatever he needs to in order to con the public. As more and more research comes out about him at Bain there will be more and more instances where he will be linked to fraud and shadowy dealings. His supporters will call Newt Anti-Reagan, when clearly that is a lie, in fact Jeffrey Lord, MacFarlane and others have come out calling Abrams hit piece on Newt a lie about being Anti-Reagan, Mitt has several advisers that worked and lobbied for Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, his Romneycare, his left leaning judge appointments and tax increases.

But do not tell people like Ender. I live in Florida and the most unethical and untrue accusations are coming from Romney and his PACS. It is disgraceful. But Ender could care less just Romney lie and lie and lie. Romney is by far the most Anti-Reagan candidate left. He is so liberal in his governance that he makes Obama look moderate.

The fact is Bain controlled Damon Corp and sorry Ender that is a fact as is the 119 million dollars in fines they had to pay for Medicare Fraud!!

And it is so true the conservative base is what put the GOP in power in House, not the moderates, each time as history has proven if the GOP nominates a moderate we lose!! And to wrap up this tin suit as a conservative is not working. No matter what happens Mitt will never go above 45 percent against Obama. True conservatives do not like Mitt, will not like Mitt and will not support him.

Check election night when in the analysis all this idiot pundits will blame the conservatives for not showing up to support Romney. We have warned the Establishment over and over we will not support him but they think because of his money and cheap shots by outdated hacks trying to settle old scores that it will force Mitt down our throats. It will not happen.

Hopefully 2016 will offer us some hope. It is clear the GOP is going down to defeat. Mitt cannot win the conservative base. We all know he is fraud. He has no chance of carrying the South. They do not like him. The threat of 4 more years of Obama is at the feet of the moderates in the GOP. We are not going to be told to support a liberal RINO from Mass. His campaign is nasty, vicious, deceitful and pathetic.

Maybe we need to have the liberal/moderate GOP and the conservative GOP. We will have the overwhelning numbers and it would be wonderful to get rid of the liberals and moderates. They are losers in history and they will lose with Mitt.

If you want to really challenge a Romney supporter and see how well they truly know him here is what you do:

Compile a list a achievements each candidate is know for in office. In this pool we will have Obama, Romney, Gingrich, Santorum and Paul. I will guarantee you that Romney supporters will not even be able to list 3 things Romney did as Governor that supported conservative ideals, market solutions or Reagan beliefs. They would be amazed how similar Obama and Romney are in political governance. Come on if he is conservative Romney supporters name his conservative achievements. Do not tell me what he says now…the proof is in the pudding not the words!!

You will come up with all this garbage about his private life and creating jobs and being a successful business man. I agree in private life he took advantage of the capitalist society as he should and we all should. I applaud him for his business acumen.

However, when he governed he governed from the left over and over and over. He did not share his passion for capitalism with the people of Mass as a Governor!

Now when I look to see how someone will govern I look at his record in public office. Not some cheap redo, commercial or 30 second Ad.

Not one supporter of Romney’s can tie any conservative legislation to his record. They turn a blind eye and tell us he CHANGED! I mean it is laughable.

Here is a man that has a vicious appetite for power sitting in New Hampshire where he lives he checks the political landscape knowing his record he and his liberal clan know that they have no chance from here to China to win the GOP nomination being a liberal from Mass. So he decides to use his money to magically transform himself to this massive conserative, big Reagan supporter and lover of capitalism. Why? well we all know a RINO from the Northeast could never win the GOP nomination right???

So in 2008 out of nowhere he takes advantage of the Anti-McCain sentiment in the conservative base and offers an alternative when at the time he was not well vetted. Of course the Establishment crushed him for that Anti-Conservative McCain and we all know what happened with that dud!! Great job Establishment!!

So come 2010 Mitt knows to brandish his conservative credentials he travels throughout the country helping “TEA PARTY” candidates in their respective races…Marco Rubio come to mind? And of course by doing so he expects what? PAYBACK when he knows that he will run in 2012. Mitt graciously bowed out for McCain just like the Establishment wanted. He was such a good boy!! and obeyed!

So here we are in 2012 and Mitt is calling in all his markers (remember he knew darn well that in 2010 he was building a list of candidates that would owe him for his 2012 run). Yet not one of these people can show his conservative governance.

They are doing what the Establishment wants or else!! Think about it? These entrenched lifelong politicians and sadly many of the newbies we helped elect live for the perks and their political ambitions! not conservative principles or beliefs.

Hence why no one from the Establishment dares to support Newt or Santorum. Again they tow the line or else. See a pattern here?

Newt has his issues but he is the only viable candidate with conservative credentials and when I see the Establishment back a tin suit RINO from Mass with not one conservative record of governance I know the fix is in.

The difference between conservatives and moderates is conservatives believe in something bigger than themselves moderates blow with the trend of the day and have no true convictions. If they did they could not support a man that in governance is basically and fundamentally an arm’s length from Obama.

    • cactusjack

two critical choices if Mitt gets the nomination. 1) A President in the WH who nominates moderate (at worst) SCOTUS candidates and with whom we will at least get appointments with to present our side of it as the selection process is made; 2) a President in his second term in the WH who continues to nominate flaming Marxist candidates for SCOTUS (who eventually get a clear majority on the court and carry out the living end of this Republic), and from which office our phone calls are not returned. This is the 10 year view; enough of the “next 10 months view” entertaining everyone for now, in order to help us get some clarity. I know what my choice for POTUS is under these circumstances, constricted as it may be in Nov.

    • deniser55

I think it’s time for a new party, the conservative party in 2016. If it’s not to late by then.

  • JSobieski

when folks were in positive campaign mode. Remember when a debate would include a question or two on spending cuts? How long has it been since that happened?

Romney is going for the record if ratio of primary voters received per dollar of campaign money spent.

The one individual who was in a position to have this campaign season be different than what it is is Romney—all he needed to was throw the right a bone now and then, and he could have cruised to victory.

Instead, he seemed determined to give the finger to the base and imply the political equivalent of eat your spinach and smile about it.

  • joayn

This from a supporter of the candidate who is the master of scorched earth tactics.

  • bluerose75

First of all I want the conservatives here in Redstate to understand the State of Florida. I live here, I am a student of the demographics and breakdown of how this state votes!

First Newt with a split with Santorum never stands a chance to win Florida. Why?

I brief breakdown remember in 2008 when Romney was challenging McCain and on primary day as the votes were being tallied the breakdown showed a decided pattern:

1.Tampa Bay area overwhelmingly went for McCain….today it is polling overwhelming for Romney. Why? Simply put the OLD PEOPLE!! This area around Tampa like Sarasota, St Petersburg and others is full of people over the age of 65. They pulled for the fossil McCain and McCain has been pushing Romney big time in this area.

    2. Palm Beach/Stuart/Broward(Fort Lauderdale) and South Florida counties are populated overwhelmingly with retirees from New York, Mass, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland and Conn. Now think about it? How do you think these people voted in the Northeast? With liberals and moderates. Who is the liberal/moderate for the GOP: Romney!

3.Certain areas around Orlando like Kissimmee, Winter Park and others very liberal and moderate leaning also will go for Romney.

The myth about Florida is that it is no longer a red state. It is full of liberals which is why Florida has gone down the hill. I mean people from the Northeast bring their same failed ideology with them. They left those areas due to high taxes, no jobs and no business and then do the same in Florida.

    4. The conservative areas of the state like Naples, parts of Orlando, North Florida and parts of Jacksonville will go for Newt. Miami is a mess and I am sorry too often too many of the Hispanic leaders trade the hope of further office by aligning with the Establishment. It is sad but Newt would be much friendlier to the Cuban Community than Romney but they too often refuse to see that often like the Jewish who vote for Democrats, who have sold out Israel left and right, and never learn.

5.Back to the Seniors. I want people at Redstate to realize that many of the elderly, in fact the majority, do not use computers, do not research candidates and have no clue who or what they are voting for. You say Social Security and they will drive their golf cart faster then a Indy Racer to listen, but outside of that they are clueless. They will follow the GOP Establishment because of the R after the name.

    6. Seniors in Florida still think Peter Jennings, Tom Brokaw and Dan Rather are not bias. Seniors for the most part sit around all day and watch ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN and other local outlets. Now when, like good little robots, they are told Romney is the only guy that can beat Obama, they obey!! When John McCain came around in 2008 and told them he could beat Obama they obeyed. They got their butts kicked but Seniors are entrenched. They have a very limited ability to learn anything new. So when they are told on TV that Romney is the only one that can beat Obama and that Newt is unstable hence you have a 15 point change in the polls. Fear is the best way to move Seniors, not education.

    7. Ask a Senior in Florida 5 things Romney did as Governor they would support and you will get Deers in the Headlights!! They will give you the Establishment line about Electability. Trust Me…they have no idea about his Romneycare, his raising taxes, left leaning judges and distancing from Reagan. See John McCain told us Mitt was okay and they fall for it, TV tells them only Romney can win and they fall for it, TV and Newspapers show Newt is unstable and they get scared and so on. I guarantee you less than 10 percent of the Seniors in Florida have any idea how liberal and left Romney truly is. They buy the party line. Only if ABC, NBC, CBS, local news, GOP Establishment tell them Newt is okay do they obey!

Remember in Florida there are some communities where MOSES is the mayor!! They are too old to understand that Mitt is a disaster and will do as instructed.

I will be told they are not mindless…buddy live here…watch the Seniors in a line or at a restaurant or in a committee…they follow like a hook line and sinker!!

As a result, the conservative movement in Florida is not really good! I am sorry to say…SO PLEASE DO NOT LOOK AT TUESDAY AS ANY INDICATOR.

Florida Seniors will carry for Romney…I guarantee it!! However, when Obama unleashes on Romney here if he is the nominee he will do worse then McCain. After all we know from 2008 how McCain did in Florida!!! I mean remember GOP told the Seniors in 2008 only McCain could beat Obama!!…LOL!!

Newt do not worry about Florida. Florida is not conservative. I guarantee you in Texas, Tenn, Georgia, Missouri, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Ohio (yes southern Ohio will not back Mitt), West Virginia, North Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi and others will vote for Newt. They are conservative and will back a true conservative. Florida will not…Florida is not important. Oh the Estanblishment will hope Newt will go away after Florida but Florida no longer truly represents the conservatives. That ended 25 years ago. Due to the influx from the Northeast and ignorant Seniors Florida has become too liberal and lost its way!

When a RINO from MASS can win in a state that represents nothing of Mitt but then votes for him in the primary it is a sad day!

Hey Seniors…ABC, NBC, CBS and local news is on!! Look it is McCain and he is telling us only Mitt can win!! We better vote Mitt we will show Obama….LOL!! Oh boy it is bedtime…700PM need to sleep!

History always repeats itself!! It is time for the conservatives to start the Reagan Party…do we really have anything in common any more with the GOP? Come on Redstaters!! We are facing certain defeat again with another RINO due to the conservatives splitting the vote!! How long are we going to let the Establishment take advantage of our money and support?? We all get angry and stay with the GOP!! Why? They do not care about you..they care about their power! A true conservative party without the likes of McCain, Christie, McConnell, Kristol, Hume, Kraut, Will and others would be so nice!

We have the numbers, the money and the will power. Imagine the GOP with just its moderates and liberals…it would be laughable!!! All the GOP is today is Democrat Lite!!

Reagan would not recognize the GOP today just like he did not recognize the Democrats when he left the Democratic party back when.

It is time for conservatives to let the GOP become their destiny A Minority Party made up of moderate mush and liberals!!

As Rush says conservatism always wins when articulated properly!! And that has been proven in election after election! Rush tells us all the time the GOP has never liked conservatives, never really liked Reagan and wish we would be quiet! Problem without us they are nothing! And the evidence to support Rush’s claims are shown to us everyday! I am a conservative and proud of it. I am not a Republican!

I lived in Florida for a decade and agree with this analysis.

      • jakeofalltrades

Apparently I should have read to the end where you revealed the depths of your moronosity by promoting a third party. The demographics you had right though.

    • Common_Cents

Not build an entire new one. It’s got good bones. The money and effort to recreate the infrastructure is immense.

Read up on anything ColdWarrior has posted about the precinct projects revamping the party from the ground up.

I can’t believe Gingrich hasnt embraced this yet, since now the establishment has declare full out war against the tea party and gingrich as its closest representative.

If Gingrich embraced the tea party, precinct committeeman effort he could very well usher in another party revolution.

    • aj_0000

Would be better. I am nearing the point where I don’t just feel like the Republicans have lost their way. If Romney is the nominee, I think the Republican Party has to go.

He knows damned good and well there was no beef there and that Newt was cleared by the IRS. Yet he runs those adds.

Scum bucket deserves whatever he gets.
