you know that first one is going to piss of the guy from Vox-Nova.

    ;)

  • Erick

I thought it might. But then, how will we know?

It’s kind of like a tree falling in the forest.

  • dbecraft

a lot of pre-discussion going on here with this entry… Really do need a bit of advance notice on the subject for most of us that don’t read hourly… (you know..:)…)

  • David_Hinz

I am loving both of them

  • Erick

Well, I figured this was a fun way of mocking the whole Obamessiah thing, coupled with the fact that he is the left’s GWB.

It really is like they have Stockholm Syndrome and fell in love with W and nominated a guy who has the identical faults they attribute to W.

  • dbecraft

I normally would have assumed as much, but was confused by the previous posts. Anyway, nice job – keep up the good work…

That first one is way over the top and not really something we ought to do. Stop and think about it for a second. It is certainly the ultimate in demonizing your opponent.

We have to be better than the Kossacks.

I’ve lurked for ages but registered to agree with this being over the top.

A lot of conservatives, including myself, do take religion with some seriousness — Obama is a disaster but the anti-Christ?

    Inappropriate garbage.

  • blooch

of those who have posted diaries here comparing Obama to the anti-christ. Those diaries were generally met with shun and ridicule, IIRC.

  • aceintx

Anti Christ is the same as calling somone Satan…way over the top and I’m not sure it represents RS well at all.

  • dbecraft

But, He has quoted the Democratic line so that is even worse… Maybe you are looking for the wrong demon?

  • Mason617

but closed the comments. That’s right, you are not allowed to post comments in his little whine fest about how we won’t let him post here anymore.

  • bs

The Antichrist is more like Satan’s helper. There are a variety of definitions of the Antichrist, and many have been identified as “him” through history…most frequently it’s been whoever is Pope at the time. The Apostle John actually referred to false teachers as “antichrist.”

One could probably stretch a fair number of the definitions to meet the description of BHO…but I’ll refrain.

  • Foppa

Not the usual standard of class that RedState displays. Leave the uncivil over-the-top stuff to the lefties, please.

    The McCain one is hilarious.

  • blooch

but I’ve gotten the impression that Obama=Antichrist is tolerated but not encouraged here. Never made that comparison myself, and I want to stay in the envelope.

Speaking of strange comments, who is the “He” to which you refer? The “demon” thing has me completely confused, too.

  • dbecraft

    of course…

  • aceintx

perhaps I should have said Anti Christ as associating someone with Satan or on a plain with Satan or whatever…it’s just not right is what I’m saying!

  • dbecraft

No onw will know the Anti-Christ, so forget about it and get on with your lives. Yes, that is in scripture also… After all, if we knew beforehand, we might do something about it…

    Heh…

  • kowalski

I love it! And sheesh, I’m a Roman Catholic. :)

  • dwarfmama

Mostly because, during the World Tour, I felt like Sen. “O” was campaigning to lead the One World Government, not just one measly nation. Why would a candidate for US President need to mesmerize crowds on foreign soil?

It’s not “over the top” so much as “too close to the truth,” as far as I’m concerned.

Which is really a complaint against the candidate, not the design.

  • deltar

www.redstate.com is the antichrist. You really want that connection??

I didn’t even see the “O” at first, just an empty face with devil’s horns, “Antichrist” and the website name.

  • John_E

Anti-Christ bleh. Oz and yellow brick road is more like it.

The sentiment in the second consoles me (thanks) even though “enemy” ain’t right. Call me humorless but Osama is my enemy. Obama is my opponent. Then I’d probably wear it.

The T’s are funny at first as caricatures but that gets lost in the seriousness of these campaigns. If it is all for fun we might as well add a T saying

Osama Bin Laden is the enemy. His enemy is John McCain.

The other guy just wants to prosecute Bin Laden.

    McCain wants him dead.

  • Jim_Tomasik

its your day to be tasteless.

    “666-5756″

    It wounds you deepest
when we jeer you, but when we
    fear you, you smile, yet

    we wear false profits
    sold by store-front preachers of
    T-shirt Antichrists.

    If they’re calling you
    six six six in politics,
    you’ve made it big-time.

    Congrats, but know this:
    You only top the A-list
    if you win the prize.

    If, by chance, you lose,
you can say you’ve paid your dues.
    Bad luck next time, too.

    How a shallow pool
like you could be thought deepest
    evil? Mystery.
