This is worth repeating over and over again

The Kremlin tore in to John McCain via his chief foreign policy adviser, Randy Scheunemann, on Saturday. The Russians, angry at McCain’s strong statement denouncing Russia’s invasion of Georgia, pointed out that Scheunemann had lobbied for American ally Georgia.

At the same time the Kremlin was attacking John McCain for Scheunemann’s ties to Georgia . . . you guessed it . . . Barack Obama’s campaign attacked McCain for Scheunemann’s connection to the Republic of Georgia.

(SOURCE)

Here, though, is the real kicker. Obama, embarrassed by his initial reaction, has had to move toward McCain’s position.

No word on when Obama will apologize to Randy Scheunemann for joining the Russians in smearing him.

It is also worth pointing out that Georgia is an American ally with whom we have military relations. Obama attacked a man who lobbies for an American ally.

Not all lobbyists are bad. Obama should know given the high number of lobbyists he surrounds himself with.

Obama’s original comments show how he will never be a leader, and it reminded me of a work day before a vacation and there’s work to do an hour before leaving. Leaders don’t say, “I’m going on vacation I don’t give a crap I’ll just say some platitudes about peace so I have a statement.”

When they started smearing Randy, my initial thought was the despicable nature of the attack. This is something that McCain should be fighting back on hard, showing Obama using the same propaganda as Russia to attack him for a correct and righteous position.

I think those on the fence that know what happened here will be jumping to McCain.

Barack Hussein Obama is out of his league. He is just going to be another Jimmy Carter if elected President and ironically, he is relying on Carter’s former National Security Advisor for counsel on foreign affairs. No wonder the Russians are acting so boldly. They remember how easy they had it under Jimmy Carter and figure they may as well get early jump on a supposed Obama presidency.

I thought Jimmy Carter had good intentions, but was incompetent. Barack Obama’s only intention is that he become President and then he can worry about the details later, if time permits after allowing for the start of his reelection effort. He seems way more dangerous to me than Carter was.

He wouldn’t just leave for vacation; upon returning he’d criticize the people who stayed behind and did the work he blew off.

John from Powerlineblog.com sums it up pretty well, concluding his post, “Meaningless Statements,” on Aug. 9:

It is often said that Obama is not ready to be President, but I don’t think this is exactly right. It seems pretty obvious that Obama, given his temperament, his self-regard, his blithe ignorance of history and of the material conditions of life on this planet, will never be ready to be President. He is not unready: he is unsuited for, and inadequate to, the office.

It appears, thus far, that the Bush Administration is taking a “wait and see” approach. This is – unfortunate. John McCain has taken the lead on this issue, and he must continue to do so.

    Obama’s latest response:

“I condemn Russia’s invasion of Georgia. This is clearly a racist attack as they are killing black people in Atlanta.”

…I understand that Presumptive President Obama has sent an emergency text message to George Clooney. The situation should be resolved shortly.
