Joe Biden It Is

A friend who would know tells me Joe Biden is off to the airport and is Illinois bound.

I trust the friend, but I’m not sure about his information. Consider this informed speculation and nothing more. I’m perfectly willing to be wrong, but the signs point to yes and, again, the source tends to be right about these things.

Honestly, I did not see this one coming. Biden is such a disaster waiting to happen.

UPDATE: Clayton points me to this. But there is no new flight plan on file.

UPDATE again: Marc Ambinder noticed the flight too, as well as one to Norfolk. I’m betting Biden since we know Kaine’s been told it is not him.

UPDATE: The Secret Service is now headed to take Biden into their protection. No word on if it is to protect Joe or the campaign from Joe.

My apolitical wife can’t stand the guy. And she pretty much likes everyone.

She’s also a very bright and perceptive person though.

Twittered this flight and Biden on the move within the last hour.
The flight to Norfolk must be a diversion, or someone just coincidental.

Biden is going to be pure comedy. But he does make sense for Barack. He will be the attack dog.
Too bad the dems have yet again put 2 elitist snobs that have never held a real job in their life on the ticket.

McCain should feel free to choose whomever he d*mn well please at this point. This electin is his.

    It’s Biden. Or Bayh.

    Or someone else.

I don’t think this announcement is going to come at 8:35pm EDT.

Joe…what a sensitive new age kind of guy you are.

text a few hours before he appears with Biden in Springfield.
Mwahahahaha-if Biden really is the one.
It will suck ostrich eggs for Barack to be scooped by the one that called him a baby killer on national TV.
    Way to go Erick!
    Now, I’m off to bed.

It pretty much guarantees a win for McCain. Biden is such a lefty, he and Obamination are made for each other. If it is Biden, I am pleased and hopeful.

    OK Red Staters, start practicing!

McCain has to talk Jindal into accepting the VP slot if only so he can tell Biden in the debate that he only has a couple of hours break from his job at the local 7-11 to get back to his night gig at Dunkin’ Donuts.

Obama is the gift that keeps on giving.

  • ConservaGeek

Mitt would absolutely tear Joe apart in the Veep debate. The referees would probably stop it midway through to keep Joe from having a stroke or heart attack.

I now think I know where my Grandma got that silly rhyme thing. Thanks for the memories.

  • redneck_hippie

I HOPE it’s Biden. I’ve been away from the news all day & only heard mention of Bayh (can’t spell it) of Indiana.

Whew! HOPE HOPE HOPE HOPE HOPE. Whew!

    There.

After all, it took off from Midway airport. The One would not deign to settle for Chicago’s NUMBER TWO airport!

will include a guy who’s been in DC since McCain was at the Hanoi Hilton.

    Wow.

(N.b. – Might as well drop this egg here too. :-) )

As he speaks, as he goes on and on and spins his long statements, hypotheticals, and free associations–as he demonstrates yet again . . . that he is incapable of staying on the river of a thought, and is constantly lured down tributaries from which he can never quite work his way back–you can see him batting the little paddles of his mind against the weeds, trying desperately to return to the river but not remembering where it is, or where it was going.

    (It’s over at BOTW today….)

Biden would be OK if he was ten points ahead. He could be a real asset to Obama if he got to the White House because of his long experience in Washington. However, in a close campaign he is a disaster waiting to happen.

Hillary is who the One should have picked. He needs her voters, pure and simple. Ok, it would be a nightmare having her near his administration, but his first priority is winning November.

Picking Biden says that the One doesn’t see McCain as a threat and that he is looking ahead to his administration.

Picking Hillary says that he understands that he is a sinking ship and that he needs manpower for the damage control teams to stop the flooding and extinguish the fires. Even if it means hooking up with a pirate crew.

    “Plugs” Biden?!?! BWAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

  • GregInFla

That ticket would be a sure winner!

  • paint_it_red

Biden told Obama he got it wrong on the “no preconditions” thing before the O rd’d on that one

  • paint_it_red

Is it will be Sebelius. Why? Because:

    1. The MSM would love and eat up a surprise and CNN has been watching everyone’s house except her’s

    2. Obama hates Clintons but wants the women’s vote.

    3. She is a lot like him. Both ultra liberal, both manage to get some conservative and moderate support and play conservatives against each other. They are both the lipstick on the pig of liberalism.

Though I like the idea of Cantor too.

The reason is that the key to McCain is to get the Beer vote.

Fred can deliver this group too, but I doubt he’ll be picked.

I think that Huckabee has pretty well tanked Romney.

I really like Romney and think he should be our next Treasury Secretary. Few people would be as competent in any senior position, but I think the winds actually blow against him.

  • civil_truth

As others have written here, McCain’s VP pick will have to be pro-life or he loses the GOP vote.

It would certainly be a head-spinner, maverick to the extreme, and a path for Hillary to receive both the Democratic and Republican nomination in 2012 if McCain can’t serve a second term.

We now return control of your television set back to you…*

Plus she absolutely adores him, and that’s what he’s looking for…hopeless devotion.

I’m not sold on this Biden thing–they’re too sneaky.
