EDITOR OF REDSTATE

A Great Video Metaphor for McCain v. Obama

Snazzy guy with lots of cool moves and flips versus the traditional trench fighter.

This is so true. Great video Eric!

Don’t tell anybody, but the guy who gets sucker-punched? He’s black.

And what difference does the fighter’s skin color have to do with the price of tea in China?

  • aaronbg

    …idiot got what he deserved.

  • Moe_Lane

Well, kind of. It’s a Brazilian style, so the guy could be pretty much anything; that country’s pretty much a melting pot.

But, anyway, tell us: what’s it like, to automatically see a racial aspect in everything? Next post, please.

    Moe

PS: I’m going to be changing your screen name to remove that inaccurate “Libertarian” part. Do you have a preference? – because you don’t want me to come up with something more appropriate.

  • Joe_Schmo

It probably couldn’t get any better at making the point than that video clip.

It was well done, you’re right.

Remember, Obama was able to hold a lead against McCain for awhile.
It lasted until McCain said “Oh, so That’s how you do business…”

    Most excellent, Smithers.

This is the kind of person who thinks you are a racist just for Voting for McCain. We are supposed to ignore every single thing that is utterly radical and wrong about Obama’s views and ride the wave of Identity politics which will certainly wash up on the shores of Utopia. You missed the point of the metaphor completely, wich is sad because it’s actually funny.

I refuse to be labeled by the Democrat party’s racisim. If Obama wanted to fire govornment bureaucrats, curb wasted spending, stop paying billions of dollars to prop up the useless UN and introduce a 5% flat-tax on all Americans, I would vote for him over McCain. Call me anything you want, I know the real reason why Obama won’t get elected.

I look foreward to laughing and pointing at every single car I see with an Obama sticker after November. Suckers.

When you are in the ring just you, your opponent and the referee there is no such thing as a sucker punch. There is such a thing as an idiot though.

I think this fighting style is called capoeira. It’s a mixture of various styles.

It also highlights what happens when you get cocky instead of doing what you came to do.

As Bruce Lee once said; Breaking boards is easy, the boards don’t hit back. I’d like to think McCain is that guy just waiting to take his shot.

Another parable is; Don’t take a knife to gun fight.

I think McCain & Co are ready for this.

  • Dem_Lurker

Which one of the fighters is McCain?

Most of us have no problem making the distinction.

I guess if a sucker gets punched, in a sense it’s a sucker punch.

Same as what happened to Stoller.

“Me hittin’ you…you hittin’ the floor.”

  • Moe_Lane

…that doesn’t attract the usually-fatal attention of a site moderator.

Quick, get out your ’80′s threads and bust a move.

  • Raven

omg, I could just see it!

  • Raven

Like I said, Obama had an apparent advantage for a second.
Then McCain figured out his weaknesses and threw his strengths against them.

    “Tiny” all about Iran.

But I think the ad McCain should be running is this one:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NpwdcmjBgNA

It would get enormous free air time as all the talk heads explode in their rush to discuss it, and with the current situation in Georgia it would be a timely ad.
