    I grew up in Colorado. I grew up with guns. The ability to shoot a gun doesn’t equate with the ability to run the country. Where is her flag pin? I don’t know if she loves this country or just loves guns.

    If you examine the news reporting from the Dayton event where she was introduced as the VP nominee you should be able to find some photos showing the large, stylish flag pin that she was wearing. If you read a bit further and check out articles/interviews from the last several years, you’ll find that her feelings for this nation are distinctly pro-American.

    The point of the this posting seems to me to be that she is comfortable operating large, powerful firearms. This suggests that she is a strong person with an adventurous streak that is confident in her abilities and supports the 2nd amendment. It offers an interesting tidbit about her personal life and beliefs. I also have experience in handling firearms (alas, not the automatic variety) and agree that it doesn’t mean you can lead the country. That wasn’t the point that Erick was making in this post.

    McCain have picked Joe Lieberman.Romney would have been a good choice except for the political baggage & sound/video bites the Dems would have used against him.all these pundits talking about experience must be assuming McCain if elected, won’t live long?
