Another Day at the Office for the Democrat Attack Machine

Image descriptionAs Hurricane Gustav is ravaging the coast of the Louisiana and the news media is breathlessly reporting flooding in the 9th Ward of New Orleans, exactly how are politicos responding?

John McCain has ordered all negative statements about the Obama campaign stripped from the speeches at the convention.

Tom Daschle is out attacking Sarah Palin saying she has “no experienced” and “are we ready . . . to place our future in her hands as commander in chief and our premier negotiator with other world leaders?” Someone should ask him about that regarding Barack Obama.

James Carville is on television attacking small town America and, in particular, Wasilla, AK, the town in which Sarah Palin got her political start.

Don Fowler, the other day, said God was on the side of the Democrats by sending the Hurricane to New Orleans on the day the GOP Convention starts.

Yes, it’s just another day in the office for the Democrats as New Orleans starts flooding, the GOP turns its convention into a relief effort, and the Democrats start performing triage on the Obama campaign.

It’s all about the priorities.

    BUT – the only strategy that will really work is registering Repubs to vote and the RNC nor Hannity/Limbaugh, etc. are encouraging Repubs to register!!

    All the state stats indicate Dem registration is outpacing Repubs!
    And requests to conservative talkshow hosts about this have been ignored.

    I apologize for re-posting my comment from a different thread and this will be the last time I make the point. I feel strongly this needs to be circulated.

    Meanwhile, the Obama campaign has encouraged the left to continue pushing the looney story that Sarah Palin’s youngest child is actually her sixteen year old daughter’s child.

    This is Obama’s M.O., He employs a three to seven day rule.

    • 1: Have operatives push an outrageous smear.

    • 2: Wait until it is leaving the news cycle (3-7 days)

    • 3: Re-open the wound with a denouncement

    • 4: Wait until the story has been rehashed by the press with minimal mention of the denouncement.

    In the near term to that news cycle falling off, press new smear.

    Seminar callers are receiving their talking points and will swamp the phone lines of all local and national talk radio. It’s gonna’ be a brutal campaign.
