We’ll see what happens with the crowd shows up, but right now, it looks like Sarah Palin has her game face on.

Hope she hits it out of the park, and puts all this other BS in the rearview mirror. Everyone needs to be reminded that the issues of the country are what need to be focused on, not her daughter.

  • CitizenHank

Good to hear. I assume there are “Sarah!” signs. Are there “Sarracuda!” or “Sarahcuda!” signs? Personally, I’m having trouble keeping on the “look vice-presidential” side of the line in wishing for an over-the-top performance by (and display of crowd sentiment for)Sarah Palin, Warrior Queen, Goddess and Destroyer of Liberal Worlds– er, I mean the next Vice President of the United States.

  • wiseprince

Make or brake. A lot of pressure to be sure.

  • blossombear

The truth of the matter is that Palin needs the circus around her kid and the experience issue because there’s no much reason for anyone beyond the far right wing of the party and the country to get interested in her. Without all this hoopla she’s just another VP pick and let’s face it VPs don’t usually make much of an impact- McCain is the one who will have to do the heavy lifting after all.

  • Uma_Richie

Don’t be so scared. She doesn’t bite, and I think she only hunts moose, not blossombears.

  • BrianH

The truth of the matter is that people like you are very frightened of this pick. She is the perfect compliment to McCain and kills your rhetoric about being the party of change. Obama talks change and does nothing. Sarah Palin actually accomplished change even in opposition to her own party.

    But thanks for trolling….

  • Jim_Tomasik

has gotten for McCain… mine. I’m voting for the VP!

As of 7:45AM CDT today, you’ve posted three comments, and all three display a stunning lack of intelligence. You’re gunning for the record of the highest ratio of stupid comments for a Redstate participant.

I’m confident that you’ll be the “Michael Phelps” of RS trolls. Provide your address and I’ll send you your gold medal.

    1) Announcing plans for (Bristol and Levi) for a White house Wedding on Jan. 20, 2008.

    2) Invite America to join her family for Bristol and Levi’s wedding on TV on the last day of Republican Convention.

  • hyphy

    LOL Jan 20, 2009!

  • blooch

    Ohhh, the drama.

  • blooch

    Ranger Rove snookered you again!

  • paulseale

First Fred, now getting to see Palin live.

    Darn it all. :)

Here’s hoping for tonight. Good to see her game face is on. She will need it in the coming days to face off against the media types.

She is fully capable, I have no doubt.

Does she want to be VP of 49 United States or 50? A fair question since her husband has been an Alaska Independence Party member until 2002 and she attended their conventions in the mid ’90s. I thought the slogan was Country First, not Alaska First.

The above are facts – the pregnancy thing shouldn’t be news but the Alaska Independence stuff and the being for the bridge before being agaisnt it should also take some of the unreasonably high expectations off Palin.

You observe the battlefield, note the weather, assess the strengths and weakness of your enemy. And one other thing Sun Tzu didn’t mention… lift your head and breath. Inhale the breath of life deep within you and be aware of the smells of the day. If you smell life in the wind and the fields and the rivers, all well and good. If you smell fear coming from those who oppose you… ATTACK! Attack with all you posess. Tonight we attack and befuddle the gross malignant growth that threatens to kill our country and families.

Don the righteous armor and ATTACK!

  • TexasTom

You continue to emphasize the irrelevent details of Governor Palin and ignore the glaring deficiencies (no experiance) and outright danger (commie/marxist) of “The Approximate 1.”

I would guide you to view the present stands and actions as we know them and be pleased for our future when Mav/Sarah’cuda are elected in November.
Learn to appreciate love of country and what it can do for us all (positive attitude?) and recognize distain is a distructive emotion (lefty speak).

I see that most of your kind don’t get a broad view of the world from under a rock. Come out a revel in the light of real change and progress in the making.

  • simpson316

She scares you. Admit it. It’s the first step to recovery.

    {Okay, I’ll humor you with a response. A husband and wife do not always share the same political ideas. That being said, you really should read up more about the topic before commenting. There is a lot of great information out there on the intertubes that you would find useful.}

  • guyatherton

Texas Tom – why irrelevant – she was sold as being against pork barrel spending when she supported the bridge to nowehere and she started the practice in Wasilla of hiring lobbyists to get federal money. FACT. Not irrelevant since the campaign touted it (incorrectly).

Also if you want to be President of the United States I assume you mean 50 states (plus DC) not 49 – again not irrelvant. I love this country and don`t want parts breaking off.

  • youthgrunt

Obama’s “experience” as a “community organizer” to be equivalent to Palin’s PTA leadership. Don’t they amount to the same thing?

  • paulseale

Both statements are not facts, but a farce.

    1) Palin was never associated with the independence organization – ever. The NYT recanted their piece last night after getting pwned on the subject.

    2) If you are referring to the early quote regarding the “bridge to no where” it was based on state, not federal funding. There is a big difference between a state funding a project and then getting the federal government to step in and pay for it.

That dear sir, in a situation we are talking about, is pork.

Palin is a reformer and a pork buster.

You what will probably make you more upset – there are lots more up and coming Republicans just like Sarah.

  • Yared

Not that this is a big deal, but I really hope she has her hair down for this speech.

I think she looks amazing when I can see her luxurious locks flowing in the gentle breeze.

  • blossombear

All I said is that she benefits from the publicity she is getting, but that McCain is on top of the ticket so in the end it’s his show. I’m not sure how that is trolling or anti-McCain but you probably also don’t want to hear that the earth is round and today is Wednesday.

  • djfritz

Obama’s “experience” as a “community organizer” to be equivalent to Palin’s PTA leadership. Don’t they amount to the same thing?

“GOVENOR” Palin has as much experience or more than Both Bill Clinton and President Bush. They were both Govenors when elected to office. Apparently you’re not to up on recent history.

  • BrianH

Obama community organizer = PTA experience.

IE: Sarah’s got equal experience to Obama’s main claim to fame in JUST her PTA background. Then she went on to the city council, got elected mayor, and on to Governor and her level of leadership experience FAR surpasses TheOne.

  • rstreu

Hey, listen, folks… I know we’ve had more than our share of trolls here, but let’s avoid jumping the gun.

In fact, if you think somebody’s a troll or a moby, just ignore them.

    really.

this is our time. screw ‘em.
