Harry Reid: Dirt Bag

Harry Reid is on television right now. He says we need to get Presidential politics out of the negotiations because it is not helpful.

Then he goes on to say we must do what Senator Obama says. Senator Obama’s principles must be in the plan.

Then he starts bashing John McCain for grand standing and getting in front of the camera and causing disruptions.

What a pig. Politics First, instead of Country First.

And some people OUGHT to be foreclosed upon. That is not the primary metric here.

  • HamiltonJK

posted the same thing on another site. Reid is such a tool.

  • Flagstaff

Let’s not bring Presidential politics into it. But it’s all McCain’s fault that we didn’t reach agreement yesterday.

What a doofus. I hope other folks watching see through his posturing.

Where is the reporter to ask, “So you won’t accept any of the blame for this at all, even though you were responsible for the failure legislation that would have prevented it?”

  • 29Victor

Reid isn’t going to do a darn thing.

  • bk

What a piece of crap that guy is. Here was the order he said it:
    - Everyone but the House GOP is following “The Obama Principles”.
    - Injecting presidential politics has NOT been helpful repeat NOT been helpful.
    - They’ve tried to get McCain to take a stand but all he’s done is stand in front of cameras.

He also curiously said they are working to get the president’s plan changed. Gee, I thought they were just blasting the House GOP for not taking the president’s plan. But wait, is it the president’s plan or Obama’s plan?

Then Dodd follows up by saying they’re working with “serious” Republicans. So the House GOP guys think this is all a big joke apparently.

  • stephenhalsey

Erick…watching the same thing and it’s taking all of the self control I have not to throw a hammer through the TV. Reid is such a TOOL….three days ago practically demanding, begging for McCain’s help and support so McCain does just that and now Reid is saying McCain is the problem. I sure hope the American people see through this crap and see Reid and Dodd as the hypocritical socialist tools they are.

  • Flagstaff

    Oh, yeah?

  • PaRep

They are also losing their (expletive Deleted) in polling on the Problem & know that McCain is going to come out of this looking like a statesman

Blame the other side and ratchet up the liberal playbook rhetoric.

Didn’t the ONE look like a water boy at the big game yesterday in the room?

I don’t mean to rag on water boys as we know they are much smarter than Barry.

  • bk

But it’s the Republicans’ fault we have these problems and the Republicans who are preventing us from reaching a compromise.

  • Flagstaff

his statement simply echoed what the people were shouting at their TV sets and in blogs and in letters.

Obama is such a good follower. McCain goes to DC and Obama follows.

  • CroakerNorge

Sure, Reid is a dirt bag. Sure, Dodd is lying. So what? It will be carried as the truth on the front page of every major newspaper tomorrow morning.

The Republicans have to start running ads hitting the Democrats on the truth, or we will lose the whole thing. Where are the Republicans?

  • DaBoogieMan

  • c17wife

    a few things.
Why, oh why, aren’t the House GOP calling a press conference to call the mf out?
How long are they going to sit back and take this?
And how long is the RNC going to wait to roll the ads showing the American people just who really is to blaim for this nonsense?
For God’s sake, do they want to win this election?
And lastly, I don’t care how you do it, butplease get in touch with the McCain camp and tell them to get McCain’s ass to Oxford. NO WAY shoudl he let Obama preen in front of the camera for 90 minutes unchallenged.

  • Brian_M_Johnson

    nope, that’s it, just agreed.

He’s the little weasel trying to sneak in the oil shale ban into a “second stimulus” or as a amendment to the CR in the Senate…

    Basically, he’s the grinch.

The American people are disgusted. Let’s remind them who got us into this mess, who has profited (Chris Dodd comes to mind) & who is trying to fix it (John McCain comes to mind).

Saying “we’re aiming to be bipartisan” in the middle of 78 partisan hack attack comments is par for the course.

  • StephC

I wanted to throw something through the TV screen but then I wouldn’t be able to keep my eyes on the sleaze bags nauseating as that speech turned out to be.

On top of that, I really resent the ringleaders who helped cause this mess to be the ones in front of the cameras calling for it to be fixed.

  • ggross56

Dirtbagitis must be spreading because it isn’t just located in DC. We’ve got a certifiable case here in Minnesota.

  • Spartan4Life

Let’s have Harry the Hustler be the first target of cleaning up DC. Would love for someone to dig into his shady Real Estate dealings. No wonder he can’t stand an honorable man like McCain.

    Burning Down the House

  • bs

I just looked in the OED, and under “dirt bag” there was a picture of Dingy Harry. You really should practice better English grammar and avoid such repetition… ;-)

He’s calling out the Dems for indicating there was an agreement when there never was.

  • bs

that bk’s middle name is “Mr. Sarcasm”.

    :-)

  • LizVBronx

Boy- I just wanted to reach through the set and knock the glasses off of HR’s face.
What a you-know-what! If this was bi-partisan why didn’t they have a repub share the mic with him?

  • Achance

Wish I had a nickle for every time I’d heard that. Any time you have contentious negotiations with a union, they go out and issue a press release saying they’re confident that there would be an agreement if the employer would just send someone in with the authority to negotiate. What is really means is that they want somebody to come in and agree with them and who has the authority to capitulate to the union.

So, somebody isn’t being rolled over by the Ds and they’re unhappy. Too bad. They have the votes to pass whatever they want – just as long as they want to own it.

  • ILLINOIS_CONSERV

but when it comes to dirtbags in office, here in Illinois we have cornered the market. We even sent the annointed one to Washington. Our state government is a cesspool and we have Dick Daley at the helm in Chicago. Oh yeah, we are THE dirtbag capital outside of DC.

he should have his head examined.

  • 29Victor

    Ummmmm. Here.

Rasmussen +2 just today. Pretty much every other poll has him gaining a couple of points since last week and as much as nine points since two weeks ago.

    That answer your question Junior?

  • Rod_Patrick

I’m almost a 3-month egg, while boogieman is only 1 month old. For newbies, we’re still having a hard time to recognize parodies and tricks since we are not yet familiar with the oldies (no pun intended, he he).

Have patience with us, big bro. As RS expands, expect more of our kind.

At least we are not a troll or a moby. LOL!

  • Pomme

    The cake is a lie!!

  • Flagstaff

    Just askin’.

  • c17wife

but it doesn’t mean sh*t if Joe-sick pack doesn’t hear it. And I highly doubt he reads The Corner.

Boehner and company need to be DEMANDING that the networks give them equal time in front of the American people to pitch their plan and shed some light on these shenanigans.

  • bk
  • Flagstaff

How else could he get re-elected?

  • bk

that the GOP has the info – now they need to get it on TV. I’m sure MSNBC will cooperate by finding the most liberal GOP House member in existence to offer balance against the 27 House Democrat hacks they’ll interview.

  • wiseprince

Need to fight back. This is ridiculous. No one is defending McCain and no Republicans are calling the democrats out on this. Not bailout, no way no how. Stop this thing, this will quickly turn into the “Obama Plan”. Stop this

  • Achance

the one that is deathly afraid of being labeled partisan and mean-spirited by a media that HATES it. Other people and other parties might articulate their position, might even defend their position, but not the stupid party.

  • Shaggy_Dog

    Headline just up on CNBC:

Senate Democrats Pledge to Approve Bailout Plan

Two leading Senate Democrats said Congress will eventually pass a Wall Street rescue plan, and blamed House Republicans and presidential candidate John McCain for derailing an agreement.

So the angle here it to have the Dem majority go ahead and pass a bailout without Republican support and then say the McCain’s leadership contributed nothing to get it done and that McCain and the House R’s in fact nearly derailed it.

The MSM will gladly run with the D’s spin so McCain better be real careful with the situation.

  • Flagstaff

Seems like a great opportunity to expose Acorn and Obama’s connection to it.

  • Flagstaff

remember the 2-4 second delay in their stupid connections and give their guests a chance to respond without stepping on their words?

  • Rod_Patrick

    The crumbs are true.

  • Rod_Patrick

Inside the Congress, Nancy says that she couldn’t do it without the reps’ help.

Outside the corridors of the Congress and in the real of the on-going election, Nancy is saying that it’s Reps who are blocking her wondrous proposal.

Like Nancy, all Dems are suffering from split-personality.

  • c17wife

confidence in me right now. Nor is Sarah for that matter.
    Yikes!
I can’t stand the thought of losing this election! Makes me sick, sick, sick!

  • Flagstaff

“Are you afraid for your (personal) future?”

She did well to hold back a laugh.

“No, I’m not,” was essentially her answer.

  • Shaggy_Dog

She figured out that if she passes it with just D votes then she can say McCain was a failure at leading to a bipartisan solution.

Sure in the long term she doesn’t want to live with it, but watch, they’ll do just that to get the short term slam on McCain.

    Want to be against me?

  • Rod_Patrick

You’ll be locked up in your room…safe.

The world out there during Obama’s presidency would be something like South Chicago. Too dangerous to live in.

  • Jack_Savage

The bastards wanted to be in charge so bad, now let them lead. Let them come up with a proposal, and we’ll review it. They are simply looking for political cover, and the Republicans are ready to give it to them.

THEY HAVE THE VOTES. THEY ARE IN CHARGE. It’s time to make them understand that it ain’t easy.

  • Achance

to losing this election a long time ago and am frankly amazed that McCain/Palin have managed to keep it competitive and even sometimes hopeful. America doesn’t deserve a Democrat victory, but the Republican party has richly earned a loss.

As to Gov. Palin, I sat out the Republican Gubernatorial primary, wrote a dutiful Republican check to my Party’s nominee, and put up my dutiful yard sign. I have dutifully refrained from attacking her directly on behalf of my clients or personally, though I’ve not been gentle with some of her subordinates. And, of course, as a dutiful Republican I dutifully support my Party’s Presidential and Vice-Presidential nominees. That clear enough?

  • mbecker908

that Democrats are not folks who see political issues differently, just good, patriotic Americans who have a different perspective. They are the enemy. They are nothing more than al Qaeda on the home front. Any sensible society would stand them in front of a wall and shoot them.

  • Spartan4Life

While the other side acts like petulant children. Quite a contrast.
