Nancy Pelosi’s Hypocrisy: Using Campaign Coffers to Line Her Pocket

This is big news this morning.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has directed nearly $100,000 from her political action committee to her husband’s real estate and investment firm over the past decade, a practice of paying a spouse with political donations that she supported banning last year.

Here’s the thing: Paul Pelosi is loaded. He does not even need the money. The Pelosi’s are rich. Nonetheless, Nancy is funneling campaign contributions into her own bank account via her husband.

That is, in effect, what this is. She can’t use the money personally, so she is flowing it via her campaign into her husband’s pocket, who deposits it into the family bank account at the end of the day.

    Your “Paul Pelosi is loaded” line reminds me of a lame defense that a co-worker tried to employ when Rostenkowski came under suspicion of common thieving from the Congressional Post Office. This guy couldn’t believe Rostenkowski would do it because there was no way he would need the money.

    I am sure that there are cases of otherwise good people who steal because circumstances require it. But scum like Rostenkowski and Pelosi steal because, at their rotten cores, they are nothing more than filthy criminal thieves.

    Get a rope.

    Who cares if he has a trillion dollars?
    It’s a mini-bail out. Here is a
    rich guy (Bankers on Wall Street)
    getting money from a politician (Pelosi)
    that was given to her by donations (US taxpayer).
    Of course the folks that gave her the money
    probably don’t care. They did so voluntary.
    The US taxpayer has no choice.
    Pelosi cannot help herself. This behavoir is ingrained
    in her soul. The only way to stop her is to elect someone else in her district. Maybe we can start a fund to help right wingers move into her district. Of course you would be subject to the socialist order that is here district. Just imagine moving into 1960′s East Berlin.

    Of course the media won’t cover it. 1/2 of the voting public won’t care anyway. At this point, they could probably rob a bank and get away with it. Oh wait, they did! They robbed Freddie and Fannie!
