Obama campaign meets with Islamic Radicals

NBC News is reporting the Obama campaign in September had several meetings with “several controversial Muslim activists.”

The meeting included Mahdi Bray, a supporter of Hezbollah and Hamas. “In a 2004 interview, he called the Israeli assassination of a Hamas spiritual leader an ‘unlawful, cowardly and dangerous act of state-sponsored terrorism.’”

Nihad Awad of the Council on American-Islamic Relations attended.

Likewise,

Chicago-based lawyer Mazen Asbahi also attended the meeting. He is the Obama campaign’s former Muslim outreach coordinator, who abruptly resigned in August after the Wall Street Journal and websites that track fundamentalist Islam began questioning Asbahi’s involvement in an Islamic investment fund and various Islamic groups.

And here we were worried about Obama’s ACORN ties.

I feel that the public has heard these apart from each other but never together. In order to really clarify the serious character and judgment problems of Obama to the point of reaching voters, they have to be put together as one big package and hammered/repeated that way. When will this happen?? What is the campaign waiting for??

He would not have sent anyone had he known who would be there

This man, Barack Hussein Obama, HAS NO JUDGMENT….AT ALL. No capabilities at all for making a correct decision….and the American people want to entrust the presidency to this man. NUTS!

Unfortunately, our politicians do not have a good Islamism detector and are eager to show that they have nothing against Islam

But the President is considering “reaching out” the Muslim Brotherhood organization outside the US

    Friday afternoon on the web….

    ’nuff said.

    Why? Because nobody is interested in terrorist connections; radical connections; ACORN fraud; Chicago dirty politics; connections with Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac;

all anyone is interested in is what happened to their IRA and 401k — and WHY THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION ALLOWED THIS TO HAPPEN.

You know, they don’t care about warnings from President Bush or Sen McCain — or contributions to Democrats from Wall Street — all they care about is BLAMING THE PRESIDENT and any other REPUBLICAN — and last time I checked, Sen McCain was running as a Republican.

**I didn’t read every word of every post. But did anyone tell you the response from the Obama camp? This is rich!!

Okay, even though Obama staffers have already told people they KNEW that Bray and Awad would be at the meeting, the Obama campaign is insisting that they did not know who was going to be in attendance. Lie #1

Obama “reps” also said that if they had known that Bray and Awad were going to attend, they would not have accepted the invitation. Lie #2

How do I know? Because staffers already said they knew beforehand. Because it is ludicrous to say they wouldn’t have attended if they knew, and then attend after they saw the entering!!! So why did they still go into the meeting with them? Why didn’t they just return to their offices? I’ve never dreamed a campaign could be so infested with pathological liars!

Jake Tapper, et al, are now going after McCain for mentioning this, which they did based on an NBC story. They are now trumpeting that the Bush administration also met with some of the same people. Now this becomes the main story, not the original.

Why doesn’t McCain ever fully vet stories before commenting on them to the press? Are they so afraid if they wait 5 minutes to respond about a story that they’ve lost the opportunity? They just completely trust the story and give a knee-jerk response thinking they have an opening. But then they get left burned as if they created the accusations in the story, and held fully responsible for them. This has happenbed before. It ends up being a net negative for them. They still may want to use a story, but they need to understand the blowback first if there are surprises to them, because the MSM will immediately vet a negative story about Obama looking for extenuating circumstances (like a Bush connection, too).

The angry reactions that Tapper and Halperin have taken against the McCain campaign started about a month ago on vetting his Campaign’s talking points and conference calls.

The Obama camp is always watering down something. If it doesn’t need it, why are they watering it down? If it was no big deal, why did they lie about it?

If Bush met with the same people, Bray and Awada, that’s his business. But when the Obama camp claims they didn’t know who was going to be there, that was a lie. And it’s certainly a lie that they wouldn’t have attended if they knew Bray and Awada would be there, because they did know before the meeting, even if it was a few minutes, yet they still attended.

He assumed they had been rehabilitated.

This has gotten ridiculous. Preaching hate at rallys, calling your opponent a terrorist, not saying anything when supporters yell for Obama’s head? There has to be a limit to how far conservatives will go but I haven’t seen it yet. What’s worse is you can tell McCain doesn’t even care for this stuff himself but he’s deferring to his handlers who want to make this race about Obama instead of you! Wake up people. Please, tell McCain and Palin this kind of campaigning has to stop.

Jay Cost thinks this too. And so do I.

If we go through another month of what just happened this week, we’ll be looking at a 1932 level blowout.

If anyone’s a McCain supporter, what they need to do is cross their fingers that the credit markets unfreeze, and the stock market starts recovering.

Because if they don’t, it is over.

Obama’s a slippery sort, but the number of these “I didn’t know” moments is getting ridiculous proportions for those who aren’t afraid to admit the Emprorer’s naked.
