BREAKING: Pelosi calls for investigation into Tim Mahoney

ABC News has the story.

“I just learned today about the serious allegations concerning Congressman Tim Mahoney,” Pelosi said in a statement. “These charges must be immediately and thoroughly investigated by the House Ethics Committee.”

The announcement came just as the advertising company used by Mahoney’s campaign said that it had “permanently” ended its relationship with the West Palm Beach congressmen based on the report by ABC News that he had promised his former alleged mistress a job at the firm as part of a secret legal deal.

In an even more troubling story, it looks like Rahm Emanuel might be involved in a cover up over the hush money to Mahoney’s mistress.

Go give Tom Rooney some cash.

The folks at Daily Kos are set to throw him under the bus too although I can’t figure out if they are more outraged by the scandal or the fact he’s not been a loyal Democrat.

    Make hay Florida Republicans.

“…[Mahoney] had promised his former alleged mistress a job at the firm as part of a secret legal deal.”

Sounds more like a secret illegal deal to me.

Oooh, how I hope Rahm Emanuel is involved!

  • dvdmsr

that when it’s a Democrat who is involved in a scandle ABC neglects to mention the official’s party affiliation. I can’t recall this courtesy ever being extended to a Republican.

Investigation can only mean one thing… deflect and diffuse information.

    time for the election.

Take another, (one of many), sleazy Demoncrat, who is losing his seat anyway, and throw him under the bus, to make good press.

Definitely time to find out precisely what Rahm Emanuel had to do with this one.

  • grumpy_old_soldier

San Fran Nan will do this for a guy who may have been playing “doctor and nurse” with his sweetums and then buying her off, but won’t look into allegations that Barney Frank, the Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, might be directly and indirectly involved in the outcome of the largest financial disaster in the history of modern finance, and may also be connected in a less than flattering way for supposedly managing to get his love pal a job at one of the firms in question.

    Simply F**KING staggering!!

  • Moe_Lane

1). That sounds familiar, for some reason.
2). How much money did Mahoney get from the DCCC for this election, anyway?
3). What does Emanuel know about the laundering?

  • JGillman

the hearings to throw her involvement in CLNE back in her face. The scandal alone brought up in that way would truly be entertaining.. lol

Why would they involve the higher ups in the Leadership, Over 1 congressional Member If they’re going to win in a Lanslide???

  • olsmithie

Will the LibMedia handle him any differently than Frank/Dodd/Raines/Obama, since Komrade Pelosi wants to throw him under the bus?

As for others she choses not to sacrifice for her own purposes, they will certainly get a free pass from the LibMedia.

Often, I feel like we are preaching to the choir by expressing our views on RedState.

My question is, “What can we do to help expose the other culprits?”

if they’re going to win a lot of seats in the house like the Media Polls say, What’s 1 seat???

I got an email from a Florida “reader.” I’m thinking this chick is the tip of the iceberg. Or the sparkler might be more appropriate.

The fact he doesn’t have the decency to step down and spare his family the pain of public disclosure says what a worm he is.

Judging from some of the info in the email, I’m wondering if Mahoney isn’t gonna end up in The National Enquirer. Because it is a lurid tale.

Oh, and other deserving candidate down here is Ed Lynch. I don’t know him but I hear a lot of good things about him.

    best, Kay

*Nancy has got a whole lot of investigating to do. We should all be thumping the figurative table for the GSE investigations, William Jefferson, Charlie Rangel…did I leave somebody out?

Since Sunday, I’ve had somebody from George Soros’s site at The US Report and the National Democratic Committee was on Covering Florida today.

  • ronalddaniels

Do they mean in the classical sense or in the more modern interpretation? I can imagine the blowback if it was the later.

Hopefully they vote him out, but I see the media as portraying this so favorably as the Democrats getting rid of the bad peoples “while the Republicans keep their scoundrels” or some other partisan crap MSM will cook up.

Tape of Mahoney firing mistress on phone; I know u should not feel really bad for mistress here but Mahoney comes off as a u know what

  • dld1717

I think you guys are focusing on wrong issue on this. Mahoney is a goner we need to focus on Emanuel (head of DCC and big Obama supporter) who admits he knew about this affair way back to 07 and worked to keep it hush to help Mahoney and Pelosi who said she just became aware of it? So Emanuel knew and she didn’t?

Now the other issue is this tape and on it is another bombshell. Listen to it and hear the mistress say ” I put a lot of money into church today” and Mahoney on tape says let me know how much and we will write it off as campaign expense? I believe this is illegal as campaigns can’t give churches money

I recommend a few others to investigate:

    (1) Braney Frank
    (2) Christopher J. Dodd
    (3) Charles Schumer
    (4) Barack Obama & ACORN
    (5) Alan Greenspan (Keating 5 & Financial Bailout)
    (6) Franklin Raines, Fannie Mae
    (7) James Johnson, Fannie Mae

If you can think of anymore, forward her the list.

  • stang

In the greater scheme of things, what’s one more lying, adulterous, Democrat Rep, give or take? There are plenty more where he came from.

And I have no, none whatsoever, truck for Pelosi and Emanuel. They are the proverbial head of the fish in Congress. That anything resembling an actual investigation, with the attendant consequences, will ever take place, is just a pleasant daydream I have from time to time. Pelosi and Emanuel are in no real danger. “We’re the Majority!”

But while they are busy being righteously indignant and calling for investigations into the pedestrian corruption of a no value, no account, bit part player, Grand Theft Election *is going on under *their very noses and they haven’t even mentioned it. And they’re hoping that throwing the used up carcass of whatever-his-his-name-is to the bloodthirsty Repubs right now will keep the focus off **ACORN and vote fraud long enough for them to steal this election.

?Politicians know it’s not necessary to fool all the people all of the time ? just during election campaigns.?
