Obama Lies About His ACORN Ties

Tonight in the debate, Obama said, “The only involvement I’ve had with ACORN is, I represented them alongside the US justice department in making Illinois implement a motor voter law that helped people get registered at DMVs.”

That is a flat out lie.

As Katrina Vanden Heuvel, not exactly right-of-center, wrote in the far left Nation on February 23, 2008, “[A]CORN’s political action committee endorsed Barack Obama for President. … The endorsement reflects a belief that Obama – who worked as a community organizer on the South Side of Chicago – understands that change must come from the ground-up, as part of a working coalition, rather than from position papers.”

Likewise, the Pittsburgh Tribune Review noted on August 22, 2008, that Obama’s campaign did, in fact, pay ACORN more than $800,000.00 for get out the vote efforts. Those get out the vote efforts have apparently included massive voter fraud in fifteen states.

Likewise, the Chicago Reader way back in 1995 reported,

In 1992 Obama took time off to direct Project Vote, the most successful grass-roots voter-registration campaign in recent city history. Credited with helping elect Carol Moseley-Braun to the U.S. Senate, the registration drive, aimed primarily at African-Americans, added an estimated 125,000 voters to the voter rolls–even more than were registered during Harold Washington’s mayoral campaigns. ‘It’s a power thing,’ said the brochures and radio commercials. … Obama continues his organizing work largely through classes for future leaders identified by ACORN and the Centers for New Horizons on the south side.

Obama flat out lied. Will the media correct him on this?

In light of the massive voter fraud orchestrated by ACORN in 15 states, it seems pretty dang relevant that Obama paid ACORN over $800,000.00 and also was hired by ACORN in 1992 to run a voter registration effort.

    as smelling unfortunate.

Rudy would be 10 points up on that weasel.

We should return to the smoke filled rooms where smart guys picked candidates that they thought could win rather than entrust selecting nominees by ballots cast by people with IQs barely above their body temperatures and more knowledgeable about the contestants on American idol than the issues of the day.

Obama has outright lied about his ties to ACORN, having paid them over 800k for “Get out the Vote” campaigning. It is totally an blatent lie, and it will come back to bite him.
Since ACORN has signed up so many new people to vote, over 15 states have filed suits against ACORN, because there is so much voter fraud in all of those that ACORN has signed up.
In Ohio alone, over 200k newly registered voters are being reviewed by the court because of discrepancies. That my friends, is ridiculous. In Ohio’s new law, most newly registered voters chose to vote right away, and many of those had discrepancies in their record when compared against Social Security and DMV records. This is a huge scandal, even bigger than Watergate, especially with Obama having such close ties with ACORN.
Obama has a record of bad judgements, and this record of bad judgements continues with ACORN. While he has an ability for oration, that does not make a Commander in Chief. I think that McCain is winning in the eyes of most Americans as being a viable leader, and Obama is failing that test. Obama’s bad judgements will be his undoing.
McCain finally came out and said that “I am not George Bush!” This was a big win for McCain, because most Americans that I have talked with know that McCain is not Bush, and their differences are great. When Obama was confronted with that Statement, he backed down, which was clearly a win for McCain.
I think that McCain scored a win here today, and people are starting to see that a Commander in Chief needs to be more than just a good talker. He needs to be a good President in all the areas, and be able to address all the issues. Obama did not do that, and did not present himself as a good leader. McCain has the record to become the next President, Obama does not. McCain is ready to deal with all of the Military crisis and the foreign policy crisis that the United States is currently facing. He does not need any on the job training, as the Presidency is not the job to get any training. One should be ready to hit the ground running, because 4 years is a very short time to get things done, especially in this environment of economic turmoil. McCain has the ability to hit the ground running, and start doing what he has promised that he would do. Obama does not.
In this election, we have seen the media engage in partisan reporting for Obama, and Obama has lied since the beginning of his campaign about everything. He has not been truthful about his relationships with many people, and his voting record has been exposed. How many of us, if elected by the people, would vote “Present?” How many of us, if elected by the people, would try to get earmarks for their state if only they would vote one way or the other?
Earmarks are wasteful, and totally not necessary, and should be done away with. McCain has never sought an earmark for his state, and has never received one.
ACORN is just another radical group that Obama has had affiliations with, that also include William Ayers, founder of the Weather Underground, which was a terrorist group. Obama has used bad judgements many times in his career, and it has continued unabated. Do people really trust Obama to be President? Heck no! He is going to raise our taxes, and if you look into every democratic president, they have always raised taxes.
    Our economy cannot afford Obama!
