Kay Barnes on the Fairness Doctrine

Kay Barnes, the Democrat running against Scott Graves in Missouri’s 6th Congressional District, got a debate question about the Fairness Doctrine.

I guarantee you she’d be in line to vote for the Fairness Doctrine even though she sure as heck has no idea what it is. Because, you know, it’s fair. Listen to her:

H/t to Insider Online.

    It is Sam Graves.

I live in the 9th (Hulshof’s district), so I can’t vote for Graves, but this video is priceless.

That’s what the Obama campaign told me to say. The middle class is good and rich people are bad. The middle class needs fairness, so, yes, a Fairness Doctrine is a great idea if the middle class, uh, the middle class. The middle class is good and rich people are bad. Vote for me…Middle class!

I hope this race is not a close one. It is frightening to think that this person might be voting on the Fairness Doctrine. Frightening.

“Ms. Barnes, What you just said, is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point, in your rambling, incoherent response, were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room, is now dumber, for having listened to it. I award you no votes, and may God have mercy on your soul.”

“Why…a ‘solution’ solves things…problems. And this is the final one. It should solve everything, or at least most things, so we’ll never need another ‘solution.”

“I heard someone say that it ‘takes care of a lot of Jewish problems’ or something like that. It solves problems for the Jews, finally.”

“…the fairness doctrine. Hmmm, yes, I see. Hmmm, well, certainly to be fair, is umm, what we would all hope for in a doctrine. And fairness would, of course, have to be applied fairly, especially after the last eight years of, ummm, the Bush Unfairness doctrine, which, ummm, Senator-I mean- Governor Palin, certainly didn’t seem to know very much about.
    “Next question?”
