EDITOR OF REDSTATE

Saxby Chambliss, Jim Martin, and Obama’s Minion Horde

You’d think Obama might not want a filibuster proof Senate, so they still have an effective foil to blame in the GOP. But it’s looking more and more like Saxby’s could be the sixtieth seat and Obama is sending his minion horde to Georgia:

“Obama’s former campaign workers are now assisting Martin in his 25 offices across the state, Martin said. Those ground troops, he said, are more important than big-name politicians for getting voters back to the polls. Some prominent Democrats have volunteered to come down for his campaign, Martin said, without offering specifics.”

If you don’t think staff makes a difference just remember the discrepancy in Florida between Obama and McCain’s staffers and look at the results.

With uncertainty in Alaska and Democrats doing their best to steal the election in Minnesota, Georgia looms large as a firewall against a filibuster proof Democrat controlled Senate. This is going to be fun.

More on the migration of Obama’s minions can be read here.

Are you gonna be any where near the Duluth event this Sunday?

  • Jerminator

Join the Money Bomb this Saturday!

Recruit as many friends as possible via internet or face to face. Get them to all send $5 to Saxby Chambliss this Saturday( and get them to tell their friends etc). us this link: https://www.saxby.org/Contribute.aspx

$5 isn’t much, this is way more about getting recruiting people and getting them involved.

    Here’s the Facebook event

rapidly approaching. Dispondent is not strong enough to convey the disgust and impotence.

Since Georgia Law limits voting in the run-off only to those voters who voted in the General election, look for the Obama Machine to try and get additional voters to vote on Dec 2nd.
Look for DeKalb and Fulton counties to have hordes of people who didn’t vote in the General election trying to vote in the run-off –
Watch for additional ballots to suddenly start appearing in those counties.

Saxby Chambliss is a solid, qualified incumbent in a deep-red, Republican state.

If we can’t win here, I don’t think we can win anywhere.

BTW, these Republican Senators and Congressman that knew they were in tight Senate races that voted for the bailout were absolute morons.

Had Norm Coleman and Saxby Chambliss voted against the bailout, they would probably both have won both their respective seats comfortably.

I also think McCain could have won had he opposed the bailout. I know all the dynamics of the bailout, but in the end it was dumb politics, and the stock market still dropped like a rock after the bailout passed, and were still heading for a deep recession.

Except now Obama and the Democrats have a $700 trillion dollar taxpayer-funded slush fund.

How McCain won this state with 52-53% of the vote and Saxby, who is more conservative than McCain, is in a runoff is a disgrace.

  • TxCon

as you stated. But he got 53% is Georgia. So voters punished Chambliss but not McCain? That makes no sense. The people who voted for McCain and then Martin are the true morons in that state.

  • DavidSage

Every Democrat in America is to the right of Obama.

There are still a lot of Dixicrat-type Democrats in the South that will vote for Democrats that appear moderate, but they definitely won’t vote for a radical figure like Obama.

That’s why McCain outperformed Saxby, even though they both made the bonehead move of voting for the bailout.

  • leeside

because he didn’t quite reach 50% he must have this runoff….

now let me ask….do third party candidates get to be on the ballot?..and how do they make sure those who didn’t vote before get to vote now?

  • SeriousLaff

only the top 2 candidates are in the runoff. I believe the libertarian candidate has endorsed the Republican.

Great, great rally for Sen. Chambliss. The turnout had fire marshall concerned. They tried to turn hundreds away but compromised by opening up the exits so all could see and cheer.

A very energized crowd. Before things got going, it was a nice surprise to turn around and see Saxby coming towards us. After introductions, the good Senator posed for a picture with my son and I. We shook hands as I looked at hime dead in the eye saying, “Hold the line.” “Absolutely,” Saxby replied.

Contrary to the end of this news article and video, Gov. Palin was in Miami attending the Republican Governors’ Association meeting. She’ll be coming to Georgia soon. Hoping to make to that rally too!

If it works like in MN and AK he could end up reaching 50%+1 and he won’t have to waste resources stealing it in a runoff. Surely there are a few precincts in Atlanta that will discover ballot boxes that went uncounted on Nov 4th.

  • Jim_Tomasik

    any doubt who won.

My wife had found a $5 off $20 coupon for Walgreens on the net today, and I used it earlier to buy things that were already on sale. So, you could say that our donation was five dollars from walgreens to Chambliss.
