This is why the NRSC has, and will continue to have, a heckuva time with fundraising. The ole boys network is more concerned with keeping the club together than doing what right and proper. I need only look to my senior senator from MO to see whats wrong with the place. Likes to see his name on bridges and buildings, voted for the bailout and now I see is helping with the Auto bailout.

If not over the most stunning series of losses in my memory, then over what issue is it appropriate? Why do you insist that the beatings will continue until morale improves? And why are these clowns never asked such questions?

If there are any Republican Senatorial staffer reading these posts, pay attention to what Eric just wrote. Obama and the Dems beat you on fundraising because we’re tired of this crap. When we send donations we expect Graham-Ruddman-Hollings, not McCain-Feingold, or McCain-Kennedy. We expect The Nuclear Option, not the Gang of 10. We expect you to sit on the sidelines during a primary between Toomey and Spector, not put your thumbs on the scale so the squish wins. And until you start doing what we expect you to do, YOU WON’T GET ANY MONEY for your re-election campaigns, and your support come time for the only poll that counts will be tepid.

I have linked the list of all Senators up for re-election in 2010. It is obviously from a Democrat site as evidenced by the comments. But it is good research.

It would be great if there were good conservatives willing to run against the R country club boys, especially McCain who has announced he will seek a 5th term. I am scared to death of what he will do now in order to “help” Obama. I wish Obama would put him in some unimportant administration position so we could get rid of him.

Speaking of senators, I also hope the GOP is bright enough to go after the Dems that could stand getting knocked off. Two who do not deserve to be there are Schumer and Dodd.

Stevens got charged with a felony for gifts. But Dodd’s sweetheart mortgage deal, if you calculate the savings over the life of the mortgage, comes to a whale of a gift in my opinion.

That math calculation apparently escapes media attention.

There are Dem targets on that list and it’s my opinion somebody in the GOP should be focusing on those.

Let’s put an end to big government Republicanism.

After Lamar Alexander, my senior senator, came out in an article warning against a big move to the right, I sent him a very polite communication reminding him how Republicans win elections – by being conservative, especially limited government fiscally responsible conservatives. I have yet to receive a response.

What would be positive for us to do is each communicate with our Republican Senators, congressfolk, Governors, etc… that we demand a return to & reclamation of limited government fiscally responsible conservatism. That is what has been lacking, that is what caused the losses in 06, 08, & any bad policies Obama & the Dems are able to put in place. Reclaiming limited government fiscal conservatism while maintaining strong national security & conservative social values is the key to winning elections & putting into place good policies for our country.
