    Im no fan of Elmer Fudd. But suggesting a single member of the House, be he a committee chair or no, has brought us to the current debacle is just foolishness. Im afraid if we’re going to argue the case for conservatism in the age of Obama, we will have to rely on logic and reason, not bumpersticker namecalling and hyperbole. Just my two cents. Love the site btw

    Was/Is there really a need to have THREE front page items on the Blagojevich thing? Shouldn’t/Couldn’t have people checked to see if the topic was there already? and shouldn’t/couldn’t one or two of the others just been comments in the other’s Diary!?!?!

    Just sayin’ ….. The Page and Lists get Flooded as is!

    to make a point that might (hopefully, subconsciously if nothing else) stick with people to be more aware of what is around before deciding they have to make a Diary on it when one MIGHT exist that says what they want to say and that they could/should just add to…

    We will always be having repeat Diaries, as we discuss and re discuss issues/ideas. Some NEW inputs may be worthy of new Diaries, guess that is all in the eye (or sometimes ego) of the beholder ;-)

    I wouldn’t speak up (er… write about it) if I didn’t care about RS and wanting RS (again, somewhat opinion [eye of the beholder] type judgement thing) to be the best, and interesting to all, it can be!!!

    Regards…. while I’m at it, let me add another all to rare THANKS TO ALL THE CONTROLLING PARTIES HERE AT RS FOR YOUR TIME AND EFFORTS!!!!

    PS: I know you have this way down the list … but the “read more” pagination/function (works Front Page and own MembDiary list only) still issue ;-)

    It was an OBVIOUS seperation by the 2 distinctly above/below the fold boxes in the create/edit Diary Editor. Is the “Preview text” the “above fold” and the “main text” the below or full view box? I have only done 1 Diary since the change over and don’t want to just throw some crap out there as an experiment (maybe I can play with it as a DRAFT [non=published] copy)!?!?

    There is some way to use it still, as Diary displays are showing/using it… Somebody fill us in… that is a great function so they don’t take up so much space (especially at Front Page area) unless peeps want to then go see the full articles.

    I don’t recall seeing them when I did my Diary when RS40 first went up. Anyway…

    We believe the Scientists that (as of late) have noted that the Oceans have been COOLING the last few years. We PAY ATTENTION TO THE SCIENCE and the facts that WARMING has ceased the last half dozen years despite Al Gores insistence on his “Hockey Stick” graph that while Carbon continues to climb that Warming MUST/WILL continue — FALSE/LIE!!!

    While the Weather Channel is no absolute final source of/on Weather (and many Liberals within the network push the Global Warming agenda), founder (the man who cared enough about trying to make a Channel that would be the definitive source of UN-BIASED data, study, etc… regarding the weather) John Coleman points out Global Warming as “the greatest scam in history.” More here: newsbuster.org: ManMade Global Warming myth – John Coleman (Weather channel founder).

    certain someone will continue to Flood Front page with 5-7 articles nightly regardless on what is on Front Page (and/or in queue) already…

    others will put up a diary and then abandon any discussion therein…

    etc…

    Remember though, if the powers that be do it it just continues to encourage members to just flood Diaries onto the system rather than bother to pay any attention to what is out there to comment on. (lesson, when in doubt, create a new diary)

    Oh well… I tried… and I know I spoke for others that expressed some of the same frustrations but not willing to be so bold about speaking up about it/them.

    Again, keep up the FANTASTIC work Neil… You have NEVER been a source of any of my frustrations/concerns around here…

    We should NOT allow ANY of those held in GITMO to touch US soil… FOR ANY REASON! How about we set them free and send them on a track across the Mine fields… If they make it to CUBA, then congratulations!!

    Giving WAR COMBATANTS the Full Rights of any clown charged with just a “criminal offence” is offensive to me!!!

    At best we should ship them ALL off to Saudi Arabia… let them interrogate them and then EXECUTE them!

    There are many Diaries that cover a topic that we will discuss and then re-discuss… A blog does NOT have to be brand-spanking-new to be relevant and the creation date should NOT be any consideration when being considered for Front Page promotion and/or whether or not you (anyone) would provide a recommendation. Some older Diaries have seen little light of day (roll off the Member-Diaries list too fast) but remain worthy of visibility and/or discussion as long as the topic remains … well… “topical”… lol I’ve stumbled across some from MONTHS ago that I’ve read and I still add my RECO because they are indeed still matters of open discussion and will remain so for a long time (probably 4 years, unless we can get Oblahblah impeached).
