Blago, if nothing else, has proven himself a serious narcissist in these past few weeks. It’s all about him. Well, he apparently admires Roland Burris’s narcissist self-infatuation.
Burris has named his kids, both male and female, after himself. There is Roland II and Rolanda. Yep.
Even more so, brought to us by Wonkette, is the already built Roland Burris gravesite monument with his whole biography carved into it.
At the top, in big letters, it reads “TRAIL BLAZER.”
Yeah, an ego like that suggests the guy wanted the Senate seat badly. He still had space on the marble for a few more jobs. I wonder how much he paid or promised for it.

A Chicago reporter siad yesterday on the radio, “talk about an empty suit” this guy beats Obama on that point. He said that no one can ever get a straight answer out of him, and that he has never never spoken alound any policy position he may have, despite alot of questioning.

On the other hand, I have a different view on this. I like Blago’s style and moves. Let Blago do whatever he needs and wants to do (sorry if it sounds like a cliche during Lenten season). Through him, the people are beginning to wake up from the lies and spells of the Democrats and MSM. Somehow Blago, Kilpatrick, etc. are reminders that Democrats are 10 times more evil than the Republicans (even though the MSM tries to play it the other way around). Blago is a good salvo for the Reps to regain their honor and trust of the people.
Sound selfish? Yes… but I’m just doing what I have learned from the Democrats in the last 8 years. It’s just a dose to Dems’ own medicine.
We may consider Blagojevich’s Senatorial Debut as a surprise and shameful 2009 White House welcome for Obama by his own Democrat/liberal friends and colleagues.
OTOH, Happy New Year, Boss Erick, RS Directors, Technical Guys, and the rest of REDSTATERS!

Would anyone (aside from a few cranks) be happy if the Governor of New York said that Hillary’s seat had to go to a white person? Or if Blago said that Barak’s seat had to go to a man?
Am I the only person in America to think that the principal of “content of character over color of skin” cuts both ways?

spainishirish Wednesday, December 31st at 1:49PM EST (link)Harry Reid is playing games here. He knows full well the Senate rules will require him to seat Burris, but he will go through the motions and act like he did everything possible to prevent this travesty.
Of course, Reid and his Democratic cronies are directly responsible for Burris because they fought against a special election in Illinois. In theri minds, it is much better to enable corruption than to elect a Republican. This point needs to be hammered home again and again. And if any Republican squish tries to carry water for Reid on this issue–and we are looking at you, Sen. McCain–they need to be slapped down quickly and harshly.
