The irony of Hillary Clinton saying that. The article cracks me up in general.

The image of Our Lady of Guadalupe was miraculously imprinted by Mary on the tilma, or cloak, of St. Juan Diego in 1531. The image has numerous unexplainable phenomena, such as the appearance on Mary’s eyes of those present in the room when the tilma was opened and the image’s lack of decay. . . .

After observing it for a while, Mrs. Clinton asked “who painted it?” to which Msgr. Monroy responded “God!”

Meanwhile, Bill is thinking he wants to pay a visit after Hillary’s assessment that the virgin is marvelous.

    with a wide knowledge of the world. And yet she has no knowledge of one of the great cultural and religious icons of the state just to the South of us. Can you imagine the reaction if Bush, McCain or Palin had said this?

    But what it really proves is that the folks who think her so smart can’t be very intelligent or well informed themselves.

    consists of pulling the wool over the electorate’s eyes one more time. Besides, they are generally confused when confronted with the notion of a religion that doesn’t have THEM as the leading players.

    OK I don’t like her, but it’s a work of mercy to instruct the ignorant. Maybe someone could send her a video or book?

    We could invite her to a rosary outside the abortion clinic..usually someone has a picture of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

    And now it is quite apparent why Hillary doesn’t have a clue about this image. I bet that if she had known of the significance of this image to the pro-life cause, she wouldn’t have allowed herself to get within 100 miles of it, much less have her picture taken with it.

    and that includes us! Hillary is not Catholic, but she should have done her homework before undertaking such a diplomatic trip. Then she would have known how important and special Our Lady is to the people of Mexico and the surrounding nations.

    In spite of being old,senile, deranged from his POW experiences and unable to use a Blackberry, McCain was able to get through this visit (identical to Clinton’s) without making any cretinous, dumb, offensive remarks.

    For us Catholics and other Christians who give particular honor to the mother of Jesus Christ, or the one whom, reportedly, “all generations will call….blessed,” please remove the Clinton comment. The suggestions of any association of his particular vices with her is disturbing.
